That I'm not the only one that can see the similarities between the Fins and the Cowboys of early Parcells. We filled alot of glaring holes, we just need a CB and WR. The O-Line finally looks respectable (made some rookie mistakes, but that happens). Ginn can be a great receiver if we get somebody to compliment him (Anquan Boldin anyone?). Our D-Line looks great. We probably have one of the best Linebacking squads in the league. When we blitz we get pressure, which alot of doubters thought we wouldn't be able to do withou Jason Taylor. We need a shutdown Corner, because Will Allen is good just not a #1 Corner, although he did shut down Coles. I say trade a 2nd round pick for Lito and draft a WR with the other 2nd or 3rd rounder.

To be honest, no I do not see many similarities. Most people have come to the agreement that WR and CB are our biggest needs. one of the best linebacking squads in the league? Have to totally disagree with that one. It's a good linebacking corps but one of the best not even close. Saying Will Allen is not a #1 corner is pretty false as well. He has to be the most underrated corner in the league. He might not get a bunch of picks but that's because teams don't throw his away that much. He has done a fantastic job defending the pass for us. Too bad I can't say the saem for the other side of the field. Goodman is a nickle back at best. Yes we have Lehan but he hasn't done anything in his career to prove he's a #2 corner. I want Lito SHeppard but for a 2nd round pick, no thanks. 3rd rounder I will take all day every day, but not a 2nd. I'd much rather give up a 2nd for Boldin but I doubt that happens.

I was talking about similarities in the way the team plays. The Cowboys had a glaring hole at WR until Terrell Owens got there. If you remember correctly they were throwing alot to Jason Witten like we do to Anthony Fasano. I will however stick to my statement that we have one of the best linebacking corps though, who else has talent on the level of Porter, Ayodele and Crowder, plus if Roth pulls through.. I cant really think of anybody except Dallas, Green Bay, Chicago, and maybe Seattle. Which I would have to put us at #5 unless there's somebody I forgot about. I did some research on Will Allen, and I have changed my mind, statistics wise he was the 2nd best Cornerback against the pass last year, we still however need a CB. I'd really like Lito in a Dolphin uniform.. I'd say we could get him for a 3rd and a late round pick. THEN we could use our 2nd and another later round pick to get Anquan and we get them both! haha, sorry, that's the Madden part of me coming in. Would be nice but we'd be sacrifising the youth of the team.

WOW our linebackers are no way in hell top 5, Joey Porter is washed up and Akin Aodele is not that headhunter we need next to Crowder. and no way in hell we waste a second on boldin when we can go after roy williams in free agency.

My hope for next season

FA: Roy Williams(reciever), T. Suggs OLB

1) Rey Mauluga(he can start from day1)
2) OLB
2) CB
3) WR

Yea no way we're top 5. Porter is past his prime. Crowder is overrated. Roth sucked against the run last week. Ayodele played good.

As far as draft goes.

1. I wouldn't mind Ray Mauluga but MLB isn't our biggest need. I want CB Vontae Davis.
2.WR
2.OLB
3.Wouldn't mind trading away for Lito Sheppard or another stud CB/WR.

Roy Williams would be a great pickup. I wouldn't mind Terrel Suggs either.

Crowder is overrated.

I don't know how you come to that conclusion, he's played in one game for this coaching staff in this scheme in the position that was Zachs till this year. He was flying all over the field last week.

Whoah....hold on. I agree with most of your post, but I have to stop you there. There is no way Allen can be considered a #1 corner. He is good on coverage and sometimes shuts down, but to be a #1 you need to get picks. You are right saying he is a good pass defender, but he doesn't get picks not because people don't throw his way, but because he has bad hands. He dropped what could of been 2 game changing picks on Sunday. Saying he doesn't get picks because they don't throw his way isn't an excuse. He just doesn't make the plays. Its what separates good corners (which he is) to stud #1 corners.

We aren't even close to set at LB. Let's face it Porter is prolly in his last year as a Fin, Crowder has yet to be resigned, Roth (although learning quickly) is still a work in process.

We need to address the LB position in the offseason with the draft and free agency.

Our biggest needs are LB, CB, WR, FS.

I feel you are wrong. He doesn't get picks. Oh well. The way he stop's recievers is what makes him a decent #1

I wouldn't mind getting Crabtree or Maualuga with our first round pick next season.

Maualuga preferably.

How many games was crowder in last year? This wasn't his first game...his angles still are bad, and I have yet to see him cover a pass. He is average...that is not to say he is bad...but after having Zach for a long time...I don't want to accept "average." I don't think this coach staff will either...

Thank you very much. So many people on this board act like Crowder is an absolute play maker when he's not. Alot of his tackles came on sunday from trying to make up for a bad play or like you said, he takes bad angles. He's below average in pass coverage as well. Don't get me wrong I like Crowder but just like Satele, hes over hyped on this board.
