Sparano, Henning, Ginn, JT, Porter, dang...even the kicker "feels bad"...

In classic damage control advise from the PR department, eveyone stepping up to take the blame. Perfect move for a community and fan base that just might bail on their next ticket purchase...smart but typical business tactic.

One problem, nobody talking about how to fix what went wrong on Monday.

Nada, nil, mum. What gives?

Well, is it that the Fins org doesnt know how to fix? Or is it that they know they cant fix it?

What have we heard or read regarding adjustments?
How about player benching or players getting more playing time?

What emphasis on 2 minute drill has been reported on out of Davie?

Is Ginn spending time on the throwing machine catching balls before and after practice?

How about the D? Remember them? Nada.

I see a trend here. Very conspicous. So silent that it is deafening!

Something is wrong....................................and the trifecta knows it.

Shhh! "we need to sell tickets....fill the stadium....sell $6 hotdogs....hey, is J-Lo available?"

Well if they are gonna fix it, they will do it in practice, not by talking about it. We will see if they fixed their problems on Sunday. Pretty much all of us know what needs to be fixed. I'm sure they do as well.

No reports our of practice in Davie by sports writers....nothing is happening.

Nothing different? No shake up? Adjustment? extra practice? nada?

Quite simply... The jig is up. it is quite apparent that we are not a talented team... and have needs all over the field... Last year we heavily overachieved and this year's sched is a great leveller.

Finally, someone says it, the truth! A real fan.

TALENT. That is the problem.

TALENT, makes the catch, makes the tackle, sacks the QB, makes the kick.

TALENT!!!!

So what you're saying is that since it hasn't been reported about what changes are going to be made they aren't going to be making changes?
Mike Bera-whatever said in the SunSent blog, "Just came back from the (limited, very limited) media availability at this morning's practice." I took that to mean that they didn't allow for the media to watch the entire practice so they might have some things they might not want the media to see.

Ok lets go back to last year, if after they started 0-2 they said, "we're gonna come out against the Gaytriots and run a bunch of plays out of the single-wing."
Would it have worked? Prolly not.

So maybe they don't feel obligated to specifically address exactly how they are going to work on correcting their mistakes from the first two games with the media.

I'm not talking about changes in scheme, strategy, approach, game plan, etc.

I'm talking about what a coach says and does to address the areas of failure on the team.

i.e. tackling drills
i.e. throwing machine
i.e. 2 min drill practice

none of which are secrets that give anything away.

In terms of starting lineup changes...we've heard them before...from this and other teams.

Sometimes on Monday after a Sunday game.

Nothing coming out of Davie.

But even more conspicous...is the emphasis on everyone coming out and
"accepting blame for the loss"...it's a parade...to diffuse the focus...on what is obvious (talent lacks) and potentially devastating to the business of this team.

Remember...we have new ownership....distributed ownership....with big name celeb's attributing their names to this franchise...who just suffered an embarrassing if not historical loss.

Not what a BUSINESS likes or wants.

Think ENTERTAINMENT DOLLARS, think TICKET SALES, think $$$$

This is what this loss threatens the most - AND THAT'S WHY WE WILL SEE MAJOR CHANGES!!!

It will come from Ross to Parcells to Sparano to Henning etc.

We are a good team we just need a better defensive plan that is creative and confuses offensive lines. We are exactly where we where last year just last year it was our offense and then we thought of the wildcat. Defensively we just need movement before the snap really... well at least to start getting creative.

actions speak louder than words so a true fan i dont care what reports say or dont say im gona reserve my opinion for game day

I'm pretty sure they aren't taking it lightly, they know the issues. Remember we were 2-4 last year and went on a 9-1 run? Things will get going, and please if we didnt have talent we wouldnt of 'SHOULD' of beat the colts. Just manning and his lucky ways. Play calling will be fixed this week and we should run the ball just as much. Except we will pass when we have to this week.

PHINFREAK, your are exactly right.

and unfortunately, this had been m/o for 10
years now. "be patient"..."it takes longer for offense"...
"we are a young team"....it takes time for [place sccape goat
here] to gell"...."we'll turn it around.."these things are
correctable"......etc....

have we NOT heard these same lines every year for the last 10 years?

seen any changes? have those excuses and cute sayings gone away?

have we not had any REAL talent in the passing game since marino and
mcduffie? has this team done anything WITH PURPOUS to correct that?

no. this teams exec's and coaches as well as all those for the last 10 years
find EVERY EXCUSE not to bring in playmakers on offense and special teams,
meaning a bonafide kick/punt returner. well, cam did, but then they messed
with him sitting him, playing other guys, having him work on being a wr at
the COST of his imediate talents kick and punt returns]. and it continues! in
ginns first year, with all that was happening, he got into the endzone 5
times from pre season to seasons end. a couple were called back but only
one of those penalties was anywhere near him and could have possibly stopped
him. 5 times. thats HUGE!! pre or regular season!!

so what do they do? reward him with less returns. we draft a guy for a certain,
unique talent and then decide not to use that talent.

WTF!!!!!

its like that are allergic to touch downs or something.

in todays nfl, you can not run the 70% of the time and win.

you cant run and play defense and hold out to win every game
17-13. but, we still continue on with that same old mentality.

can you imagine monday night how it would have gone if we
even had the resemblance of a dominant wr? just an AVERAGE
passing game?

POINTS COME FROM THE AIR, NOT THE GROUND! and POINTS
win games!!!! he with the MOST POINTS win!!

and, like this year, we saw the lack of scoring in pre season, like
all the other seasons and most of us knew what was coming. another
year averaging 17 points a game. and we may not accomplish that
much this year!

and the SAME OLD FOLKS crying..."oh look, the sky is falling", poking
fun at us for wanting to score and be diciplined and recognising that
for another season, we will not have any offense and wont contend for
anything!!

the sky IS NOT FALLING!! it has already fell. its been down for 10 years
now for the most part of it, same story, same lame the sky is falling
taunts with no appologies from them after every season of under achievment.
everyhting they said would straighten out, didnt. once agin, we were right,
same story and more "ooohhh, the sky is falling" nonsense.

same thing so far.

brandon marshall should be a miami dolphin. this should have been done before
the last pre season game. he can be had NOW as he is not giving that team
anything. and he is doing it on purpous. he wants OUT!! can you blame him?
there is a young, bonafide, pro bowl playmaker wr that CAN be had but has
miami made one move to do anything about it? they better.

the guy who showed the most promise, the kid from ohio state, what have they
done with him? he shows some real ability, but he wont correct any of his
rookie mistakes on the bench.

ok. i'm done. but after 10 years, after changing coaches, owners, o-linemen,
schemes, qb's, shouldnt it have changed? why hasnt it?

oh, the piece i forgot to mention........DOMINANT WR!!!!!

thats what they never change. and thats why our offense is a broken record!

You won't see major changes, they break down film and see what went wrong and work on what they need to do in practice.

Wilson is not getting benched because he missed a couple tackles
Bell is not getting benched because he missed a couple tackles
Our LB's are not changing because their the best we have
Ginn is not getting traded because he's actually pretty good
Penny isn't going anywhere until we are completely out of it

The defensive and offensive co-ordinators will go over their game plans and figure out what went wrong and what they can do to improve up on it for SD. This is what goes on every week, if Wilson continues to make mistakes in the next couple of games then maybe a message will be sent to him.

Like it or not this team will not go in panic mode because you think that is best, they will do everything to fix the problems and go from there, it's not like we have pro-bowlers sitting on the bench waiting to come in.

Don't take what I am about to say wrong, because I am not knocking you.

Talk is cheap doing it on the field is where they show themselves and the fans what they have done. They have limited media availability so far this week. They know things have to change, but they aren't going to announce what they are doing so the Chargers can prepare for it.

Absolutely brother, we are still a couple of years(at least two) and drafts away from putting a super bowl team on the field. i also think that parcells and company know this.

I would like to start with firing Paqualoni... I felt that was a bad decision last year.. and it is panning out as such
