Because he knows that if we somehow make the playoffs then the changes that need to be made to this team will never be made. A first round embarrassment in the playoffs is not worth keeping Ireland and making almost no adjustments to the team.

Thats ABSOLUTELY NOT TRUE. This league is about Matchups and we have a big matchup problems against the Bills. If this team was as bad as the Bills game then we would not have won 8 games and beaten some of the quality opponents we've played.
