Still Perfect.. and You're Not.
The enigma of tCulhe quarterback position is still a puzzle for our beloved Miami Dolphins.Whether it's Culpepper, Green, Quinn, Lemon, or Carr; many have been rumored to take the helm. I think it's time for a good old competition. Trent Green vs. Daunte Culpepper. Cleo Lemon just doesn't have the experience yet while David Carr would cost us a 4th round pick, and Brady Quinn will not be there at 9. If you guys want to de-thrown C-Pepp before he has a chance to prove himself than so be it but the bottom line is the guy can play. I think Trent Green is an amazing QB and even at 37 would be a great starter for us and if he didn't start he would be the best backup in the league. But just think we have a draft pick and a lot of money invested in Daunte Culpepper who before his injury was a top 5 QB in the league. Players such as Drew Brees and Carson Palmer have bounced back from devistating injury. Truth is that Culpepper may never be 100% but not many players are. Culpepper has amazing arm strength and now that is as close to 100% as he ever will be it will improve his reading of defenses. Jason Garrett , Offensive coordinator for the Dalls Cowboys, was the Dolphins Quarterback coach and he said he believes that Daunte will come back and be great. I will take his opinion as someone who worked with him and has seen him pllay than any of us who sit here and try to predict. Releasing Daunte makes no sense because of his cap number so before we throw him out we better give him a chance because if we throw him away and he returns to greatness we all will be sorry!
