Police acknowledge that man they stopped probably wasn't Miami Dolphins rookie Vontae

It was fun to see all the Fin fans ready to throw him under the bus when it was first reported.

It looks like the kid that wrote that initial article didn't get ANYTHING right.

Nobody was arrested and no actual tickets were issued. They just gave a written warning.
 
The confusion began Tuesday when the University of Illinois student newspaper ran a story saying that Davis - who was a star for the Illini - had been cited for driving without a valid license and excessive noise by his vehicle. The Dolphins questioned the report, pointing out that Davis had attended workouts at their Davie training facility on the mornings of June 9 and 10 and had attended a rookie seminar in between.

Agreed. Gotta love all the people coming to conclusions too quickly. If half of these people had any sense, they would've realized, "Wait, June 9th? How could Vontae be at OTA's in Florida, and getting arrested in Illinois at the same time?"
