I really don't think there is one specific most important thing. I would combine leadership, accuracy, the ability to read a defense, and poise as a tie for number 1. Arm strength helps, experience helps, vision helps, but not nearly as important as the abilities I initially mentioned.

poise in the pocket or what i like to say ,able to check off all options. a great qb does not bird dog,stair down hot read, poise and composure is imperative and of course synergsytic with a good o line.

youve got to have the skills and a brain. dan marino mastered the art of nfl quarterbacking. if you look up nfl qb you will see a picture of marino. his knowledge of everything on and off the field made him the best qb ever. his only downfall was ability to run but his quick release took care of that problem. i think having the know how is the best attribute you can have. a lot of qbs have all the skills but they cant always match it up with their brain.

He's got to be able to protect the football. Guys like Jay Cutler, Favre, and classic Romo don't win championships for a reason. It's the most basic, fundamental characteristic a QB should have.

My vote was other.

I think that a quarterback has to have smarts to be great. You really have to have an understanding of how to play, and be smart with the ball. If you havn't got the smarts, you won't be a good QB.
