Poll: Best throw by Henne vs Jets?

A. BOMB to Ginn!!
B. 3rd and 4 - Nice Touch pass to Camarillo on the flat for 14 yards.
C. 3rd and 10 - LASER to Camarillo on the right side of the field to the 4 yard line.

I picked "B". That touch pass was as good a throw as any QB can make. WE all know this guy has a cannon for an arm, but to see that kind of precision on a beautiful touch pass got me off my feet with fist pumps and everything!
 
as much as I like deep ball bombs(I really,really,really do!!!),I gotta agree,his crucial pass on 3rd down couldnt have been done better by Peyton,Eli,or even TOmmy BOy himself
 
I voted for the the 3 and 10 to Camarillo. He felt the pressure. Stepped up and threw a rocket low and away, where only Camarillo could catch it.

The 3 and 4 play to Camarillo comes in at a close second, but Pennington could have made that throw.
 
Can't decide between the two throws to Cam. They were each impressive in different ways (and Cam was so clutch on the receiving end both times).

I guess the 3rd and 10 is the bigger throw - reason being there aren't that many ways to pick up a 3rd and 10 and we've been so bad on 3rd and longs recently.
 
You guys are completely right....its just that I sprayed beer on about 25 people on the Ginn Bomb, and lost about 6 vocal chords (I came in talking like Barry White, left like Mike Tyson)....
 
Guys, the two Cam passes were impressive (especially the 14 yarder... it was Pennington-esque) but the deep bomb was a flawless pass 45 yards down field. Ginn didn't have to do a thing to make that catch.
 
I have been so deprived of the deep ball that I had to vote for it. He patiently waited for it to develop and put it right on the money.

I picked C, A & B were well thrown balls, but to make that throw is tough, to zip it that hard and still be that accurate, is amazing, and to do it at the very end of the game, little time on that clock, and at 3 & 10 is a spacial pass that only the upper tier QBs make.

Agreed. The accuracy of that ball was amazing.
 
The most telling thing about this poll is how close all three of these plays are. You cant go wrong voting for any of them. Thats why it was such a great performance.

Ugh, that was a sick pass too. Off his back foot I believe, with enough zip to get it in the perfect location!

I dont know if Pennington could have made that throw to be honest. We all know he has the accuracy, but you still need some good arm strength to get that off, especially with a blitz coming at you.

I voted for the 3rd/10 to Cammi. What is amazing about that pass is that when ESPN replayed it in slow motion, the ball was nearly out of the screen when Cammi caught it, showing what kind of arm strength Henne really has. I agree with what you said though, all three were great throws. I really cant stop watching the replay of that bomb to Ginn, and how everyone is standing up in the background, anticipating the TD catch!
 
usually on lead changes I feel fatalistic and half like leaving early or turning the TV off to spare myself more agita. Monday night, watching Henne go thru progressions, look off defenders, zip that ball right where it should go again and again, hanging tough in the face of blitz packages.. for the first time since Dan I felt like we'd be in this game,, and now any game til the end so long as we can keep it close. You could see the calm cool confidence from his body language. That was a truly impressive performance by any QB, but mind-boggling by someone who was starting his second game, and against a D that stiffed 2 of the league's top QBs and including the 2nd best corner in the league (supposedly).. It's easy to jump the gun, but this well could be a new day for us.

Oh, I voted for the perfectly placed bomb since a)it's been so long since I've seen one made by us, not against us, and b)it was encouraging for those of us hopeful that Ginn's strengths could someday be exploited.
