I for one would love to see his name on the roster come Sept. 7. The fact that he is Michael Vicks brother is enouhg for me to think he can be a great athlete. He seems to have gotten his act together and is staying out of trouble. He could become a great player with the great coaching we have.
 
I voted yes. It should come as no surprise to some what my feelings on the subject are. But, I do hope he makes it. Not because of what I want, but the fact that he earns it and can help the team.

I was thinking the other day about Marcus and wanted to point out to some who may not know (and may not care). But, Marcus has only two years college experience. Obviously that's of no fault but his own, but I wanted to try and put things in perspective from a football standpoint. First of all, he's trying a new position in the NFL, and secondly, he's only had two years of experience at the college level of even playing, and that was at QB. That considered, I think he's made incredible strides, and it just shows what kind of athlete he is IMO.

This guy has nothing to contribute to our team but a bad rep. Our roster is gonna be 53 guys that can help us win. So far, i haven't seen Vick do anything better than any of the other guys that makes me want him over them.
In fact, if you are honest with yourself, you wouldn't have even considered him to be on the roster if his name wasn't Vick. Immagine if his last name was Mitchell or something like that and he had the same rep and the same skills. No one would even think he was slightly special. he hasn't made a single play in the preseason. That means you get cut.

Im not against him making the team, given he shows us something he can add to our team that we don't already have. He just doesn't have that right now.
 
Just too much potential to let go, IMO.

I know potential isn't everything, but in the meantime, he can contribute as a special teams type of guy, while also giving us that "gadget" flexibility. I like Welker as a slot WR type, with Vick as our potential KR and/or PR. I like Fred Gibson a lot, but how often do we use 5-WR sets, much less 4? I'd rather lock the 5th spot up with potential/special teams ability.

Michael Vick is very athletic. I will give him that. But he is a lousy QB and is not a team player. so if Marcus being Michaels brother is enough for you to want him on this team. than it should be enough for me not to want him on the team.


But there are also his stomping on a players knee with obvious intent to injure him, and the numourus off field problems why i don't want him on this team. Yes he has behaved so far. but IMO he is just doing what T.O. does behaves for a while than lapses back into his true self.

Our QBs are better than Marcus Vick. and our WRs on our roster are better than Marcus Vick. I will be truly dissapointed if he makes the team. But being a Dolphins fan i will just have to hope he makes me eat my words.

Great question and the answer is simple.

It's all about the name..... Vick.

Amazing what having a famous brother will do for you.
Lil Vick didn't show anything in college and he's pretty much a waste to have on our roster.

PS, fine but on our active roster he'll be a waste of a spot.
