POLL: Does Chambers deserve his Pro Bowl selection?

790 The Ticket, the local sports radio station in south Florida has reported that ZT, JT, and Chambers made the Pro Bowl, with McMichael as an alternative. I believe there were 1 or two other alternates, but I don't remember who.

I'm scratching my head though because AFC stats show the following:

Catches Yards YPC TDs Long
Chad Johnson CIN 84 1260 15.0 8 70
Marvin Harrison IND 80 1127 14.1 12 80
Reggie Wayne IND 81 1034 12.8 5 66
Rod Smith DEN 79 1003 12.7 6 72
Chris Chambers MIA 72 992 13.8 9 77

Being that there are 4 WRs selected for the Pro Bowl, it's pretty safe to assume that the top 3 chosen were Chad Johnson, Marvin, and Reggie Wayne. That leads to the question...how did Chambers get chosen over Rod Smith?

As a Dolfan, of course I root hard for our players, but I'm objective at the same time. How does Chambers become a pro bowler largely because of a spectacular 3 game stretch? Pro Bowler or not, Chambers will have the same "monkey on his back" until he can be consistent over the course of the season.

players and coaches count for the majority of the vote...so he is respected

congrats chambers!

wow hopefully this will inspire him to keep it up

I'm glad he made it over Rod Smith....we hear enough of him here in Colorado.

Actually, Reggie Wayne didnt get in.. Rod Smith and Chambers did. And yes, they deserve it. Both are starters, Reggie isnt.. Alot of Reggie's opportunities are due to Harrison.

I really hope that there isn't any Fin fan that things he doesn't deserve it!!! Congrates to all three of them!

I think when a lot of the votes were placed, over the last couple weeks Chambers was ahead of Wayne and Smith in yardage and still number 2 in TD's

There has been plenty of unfair things against us this season I'll take one in our favor. Personally I don't think wayne will make it, he has Harrison pulling alot of attention his way.

As much as I hate the Donkeys and having to hear about them constantly out here, I've got to respect what Rod's accomplished and how he has been a consumate pro over his career. Hopefully Chambers will use this pro bowl selection as incentive to play with the consistency that Rod has.

hes going to get over 1000 yards and he already has 9 TD's.....yeah he deserves it. I think with the new offence that he will be gaining more yards and TD's, expspecially when Miami can get a real QB.

Consistency is down the road. Right now Chambers has stepped up and hes in form. Smith doesnt have better stats than Chambers IMO. Its close but there you have it. Congrats to Chris and heres hoping he can make it a regular trip to Hawaii. Cant believe some ppl are knocking or questioning Chambers inclusion. If Smith was voted in in front of Chambers we would have just as many complaining. Hes there so congrats to him i say.

Oops looks like Rod did get selected? I do respect what Rod has done over the years for the Broncos.....I just don't care for the Donkeys much. :D
