I would have picked "we are doomed" but the fact is that Tannenbaum wanted to dump Joe since he got here, whereas Carl Peterson (Ross's old adviser) loved Joe.

So although I can't pick the somewhat bullish option -- because I'm not a fan of Tannenbaum -- I have to temper my negativity just a bit. At least he's a step up from Peterson.

The genesis of the fans anger on this forum is the following:

1. They hate that Tannenbaum is a former Jet.

2. This franchise has given such hope before seasons have started or had seasons were if they just finished, they would have accomplished something in the postseason, but only to be let down. This time around, fans are going to kill anything that is offered and will only trust the Dolphins after they have accomplished something that is very impressive.

I get it. I do. It has been a frustrating decade/plus.

With all that said, the moves Tannenbaum is making is ridding this team of the disfunction that has held this team back recently. From there, the franchise will have a unified vision. The decision of the next head coach will have monumental ramifications for years to come because the next man is going to have a long opportunity to make this work.
