So How many will they cost us? I am and always will be an optimistic person, but the more I watch our O-line suffer...
the more I think this team is going to have a LOT of offensive problems. Chad Henne is going to be ridiculed every week when
he is forced to throw the ball with D-linemen on top of him, and Reggie/Thomas are going to look like 2008 Shawn Alexander
when Sparano is going to force them to run through Gaps the smurfs couldn't squeeze through.

People tend to forget about them, but with a bad O-linemen...the entire offense will crumble to shambles.

Marc Columbo = another expired Cowboy
Pouncey = Out of position
Incognito and Carey = out of position and couldn't "pull" a weed from a garden bed (pun = as bad as they are at guard)
Murtha = Why need need Jake long back

Why does everyone see this problem but the O-line Guru himself?!?! UGH!!! I say...

O-line cost games??? Hey, now. You should know this cause I told you guys already. My watch is different than yours, okay? I'm not worried about this O-Line at all. They've done some good things out there. We just don't move fast enough sometimes. And at the end of the day it takes time for a unit to gel. You guys may be concerned, and you can write about it or whatever, but I feel pretty good about these guys right now.
I'm not concerned about the lack of a running game the other night either. Everything is fixable, it just takes time. And D-Lines are going to way ahead of us at this point, okay. So I'm not worried about it...again I have my own watch. It's to be expected when teams blitz, slant and stunt so much up front. They were just faster, but nobody got man-handled on our line. Don't worry either, it's not like teams will slant and stunt against us in the real season. This is all preseason, it is what it is. You guys can flip out, or whatever, but I'm feeling really pretty good about what I'm seeing out there right now.

In all seriousness....you talk just like Tony Sparano xD LOL

Berger at center , Mc Clushy(sp) at guard , Jerry at guard.

These are some of the guys we started last year.

I'll take what we have now over that.

IF Carey can hold down guard.

And IF Columbo can just be average like Carey was at Tackle.

I think we'll be alright ...... though I think they add the Center from NY after the first game when contract is not guarinted.

Less than 5 means you think at least 4 games will be lost by the OLine alone. Need to adjust the poll.

When lines dont block, teams dont win.

Chicago and Philadelphia did it last year....and more to the point, this poll is completely f***ed because it's lowest number is <5........no one unit can cause a TEAM to lose that many games in the NFL; even San Diego's special teams only cost them 4 games; and that was a historically bad unit. Our offensive line is not really that bad, people on here need to get a f***ing grip, seriously; it's annoying looking at this s***;

I might as well just get my Dolphins information from ESPN, where there's less Dolphins haters and more logic

and that's saying something!

How do you measure whether the OL cost us a game?

It's simple you see.

Height (in inches) divided by Weight. You take that and multiply it by the ratio of wins to losses. After a calculation of yards per play and average point differential, the player's FNW (or Football Net Worth) will be calculated. As you can already guess by doing that simple equation in your head, our net worth would be similar to that of a third-world country torn apart by oppressive military leadership, whose simple economic function is merely to survive.

Our O line might be a mess, but Qb's in the nfl have to perform with pressure in their face. Any Qb can perform with no pressure. Thats what seperates the good from the trash. Is this the new excuse for Henne? Everytime he throws a pick or fumbles, its the O lines fault.

How do you measure whether the OL cost us a game?

an average of 10 sacks given a game and 30 Rushing yards a game would seem pretty obvious. Ofcourse that is extreme...I guess like when the Lions went 0-16 the average time for the quarter back to throw the ball was less than 2 seconds and players like Peyton and Bress have about 3.5 seconds to throw

I guess we will just have to wait and see, this was my extreme way of pointing out what COULD possibly be the weak link for us this season. I think Henne will do just fine but I feel the Line may be very important to any team. Any quarter back who gets an average of 1.5 seconds more or basically saying...roughly 75% more time to throw the ball will probably do better. I didn't like some of the close calls on Henne.

Edit: Right now the Dolphins are ranked 30th in the rush, and 19th in how many sacks we have given up...wish it would be better for an O-line Guru
