If he can't average 62.5 yards per game or stay healthy for 16 games then he won't matter..... If healthy there's little reason (as a starter or "featured" RB) to believe he has 1000 yards by week 12 … if our run game cannot open up holes for 83-84 yds per game none of our backs will matter... I mean even as a running back by committee team if we only average 3.5 yds per carry and run the ball 30 times we are at 105 yds per game and at that rate if he has 20 carries he will have 1000 yds in week 14

He has to earn the role as a featured back though... IF he is our featured back without injury... If "worms had BB guns".... if if's and but's were candies and nuts.... the off season is too long …

I just think(or hope)that our offense will be multiple and use many different personnel in the run game that he may not see the workload to crack 1000 yds.

According to some on the board he's not even good enough to get 10 rushing yards total in a game and apparently is the worst RB in the entire league.

Yes there are those who can seemingly prognosticate the future of players that haven't really been given a chance amidst the poor coaching, scheme and (probably) the overall attitude of the team....

I don't know what he will do individually... and I don't really care as long as whatever he contributes is helpful to us as a TEAM.... but you are correct there are some who seem to know an awful lot about something as unknown as a players estimated success under a new regime.... baffling lol

And according to some others he's a pro bowl talent, take it to the house at any moment guy that never got an opportunity.

Truth is neither of those delusional lines of thought are accurate.

Our Run game should improve with Adam "I give up on the run" Gase gone. Drake should see more touches as well as other backs. As a team we need to see 100 yrds + Per game and not give up on the run game so Quick. Our Line play really needs to be better as well. IMO we will see this happen this Year.

So.... You must know the truth since you know that neither of those "delusional" lines of thought are accurate...
please , oh knowledgeable one, inform us mortals

I think simply by running the ball more, we’ll see more production on the ground.

Who could’ve ever predicted?

He’s talking about the extremes on each end.

They tend to be highly delusional. ;)

If he’s a full time starter 1200 yards as a role player 700.

In one sense I would like him as the feature back but worry he won’t be resigned. As a back up he would potentially not be signed as he couldn’t take the job full time.

Give the man a fair chance. He is capable of taking it to the house nearly any play. If he can pass block full time I see no reason why he cant excel. My only concern is that there were reports of his immaturity.

I'm higher on Drake than most, and think he's a very good RB but no way does he average 20 Carrie's per game. He will probably average more like 12-15 per game and 3 or so catches. If he averages that he will rack up a lot of yards imo.

Way to exaggerate. On a good year I think he’s a 700-1000 yard back.

I don't think he breaks 750, but I do think he breaks 1k in total yards. Pretty sure Ballage is going to get more looks that people think.....he is 6.2 and fast
