In my opinion, the dolphins at this point are just being stubborn. He should be in camp, but not the way most of you see it. Everyones all set to bash ronnie for not taking less money, when if it were them in his shoes they'd do exactly the same thing. I think miami should ante up their offer and give him the money. In reguards to what Alex Smith got, its just plain unfair to just give ronn 19.5 Mill. Smith was only signed 1, thats right, 1 pick ahead of him, and that means he diserves 4.5 Mill more? you can say ronnie hasn't proved himself, well neither has smith. Be realistic when answering this poll.

Who do you think is to blame?

i blame the team for not paying the guy wht he deserves, then talkin smack about him not being in camp.

do you think the team is willing to have him sit out over 2.5 million dollars in garenteed money?

The system
i like the answer.

there always seems to be players who miss camp over contract problems. if it was such a big thing, they should work out a way to get the deal done before camp starts. how long ago was the draft? a LONG time ago.

It is kinda scary to think that the #1 pick is usually signed even before the draft. This year we had to wait til after our training camp had already started.

I don't think anyone is being greedy here. I don't think greed is playing any part in this in fact.

This all about not looking like one side got taken advantage of. It's all about pride on both sides IMO.

Both sides are trying to establish how they will do future business. The whole thing seems like it may take some time because of that.

I think this whole payscale thing is at fault.Yes these guys should make good amount of money, but salaries are just getting out of hand.I know someone is going to say "what about if they get hurt and can't play again".Well they do have college educations to fall back on.If they left school early they will have enough money to go back.
