The pick @ #9?

The more I go over the possibilities of the #9 pick, the more I think we'll go defense. Mueller loves speed, and although we desperately need a legit #1 speed WR, I don't know about Ted Ginn.

I'll admit that I don't follow college football, so my opinion on Ginn isn't well informed. I'm strictly going on information from articles I've read and knowing his height/weight. I don't see him being a #1. Perfect as a #2, slot, or KR/PR, but a #1? Am I wrong about this?

IMO, if we don't pick Ginn then the pick goes to the defense.

Thoughts?

EDIT: I tried to go back and add the poll, but I wasn't able to. Mods?

Im not sold on ginn. and he may not ever be a #1 receiver ala steve smith for the panthers. But hes a guy that would get the ball 5-15 times a game and could possibly score at any moment, from anywhere on the field. that kind of gamebreaking ability is worth a high draft pick.

That being said, i dont really want Ginn at #9. I've accepted the idea of taking a corner or maybe a linebacker who brings his stock up.

I hope calvin johnson or j. russel drops on our lap

I'm hoping for a OL, NT or OLB with our 1st pick, in that order.

My list of (realistic) list of players that could possibly slip to us at nine in order of my liking: Brady Quinn, Gaines Adams, Alan Branch, Jamal Anderson, Dwayne Jarrett, Levi Brown, Leon Hall...

My top 3....Jamarcus Russell (if he somehow falls to 9), Reggie Nelson (with Allen moving to CB), or Allen Branch. Also, Jarvis Moss is a name to look at in the 2nd if he falls...he's big and extremely athletic, and could possibly be used alot like JT.

Can you add a poll please? BTW I vote Quinn is he is available, Gaines Adams next, or Dwayne Jarrett.

I'll take Jarrett. At 6'5" he is a HUGE redzone threat and also has the speed to make a 5 yd pass a 80 yd score. He can make Chambers the #2 that he is.:cooldude:
