Biggest immediate obstacle to the team's achieving and sustaining success ?

I wanted to go with Tannenbaum, but frankly the blame lies at the top. Ross is really the only owner in the league dumb enough to give Tannenbaum a second chance at running a team. Ross has made so many bad decisions, more than enough to be replaced, unfortunately owners can't be fired.

It's possible for Ross to eventually get lucky with his dumbass hires and actually hire somebody competent.

Tannenbum is just pure, consistent suckage who ruins everything he touches because he habitually works against the team in order to keep his job as the circus ringleader.

Very hard to say. I'd call Pouncey, Suh, and KA as one problem and finger a systemic problem - Gase, for his seeming inability to see Pouncey and KA as overpriced, and Suh, solely due to the ???. All those are on the coaches and FO. Thus, I picked "other" and will call that "systemic." I've said elsewhere, my biggest knock on TBaum is he always seems to come out of a negotiation as a loser. KA, Branch, trade with the Eagles, . . . he can't make a good deal to save his soul. Drafting has been poor, but, to be fair, has looked much better the last two years. Gase? I know he felt forced to get Cutler, but JT and Pouncey worry me. Position coaches, but that's being addressed. OL . . . BIG TIME. Which gets me to one of my pet peeves . . . GOOD teams don't have a lot of All-Pros; they have NO bad players. No bottom decile players. Find those players and eliminate them.

the biggest impediment are the mad contracts that are still on the the books. We are paying players as if we are close.

Steve Ross, probably, but given his absenteeism, you've probably got to go with the guy running the show in actuality, Mike Tannenbaum.

As much **** as I'd like to give Ross, though...he has done some nice things for the stadium, and hasn't been afraid to throw money around when it's been needed...so then, for that matter, my vote goes for...

Tannenbaum.

Going with the guy that hired Tannenbaum. All starts at the top. I'll never forgive the logo change.

The logo change was that idiot that went to San Diego though to run the baseball team...Mike Dee wasn't it?

Still, Tannenbaum is an asshat of the biggest order, and things won't get going until he's gone.

Ross was still (I think) the owner so you know he had input. Final say at the least.

I haven't spent one red cent on anything with that travesty on it. Counting down the days until that eyesore is gone.

Oh I misread your post, lol. My bad.

Yeah, you know he had his hands all over that "refreshing" of the Fins identity. A complete travesty. The uniforms that have come with it are equally as bad.

I say Tannenbaum simply because this team
is going nowhere as currently constructed, and I sure as hell don’t trust in his ability to build a consistent playoff team, much less a championship-caliber one. And make no mistake, Ross’ blunders have greatly contributed to this franchise’s current pathetic state.
