i think hes worth a 1st rounder, i thought owens was too. how can teams possibley trade these star players for 2nd round pix? are they out of their minds?
owens might be the best player in the nfl, and philly got him dirt cheap... i just dont get it. even with a first rounder, what are the chances that u land the next TO?

I'd say either a 2nd or he won't be traded this year.

No option for a 4th, 5th, or 6th this year or a combination of those + a 2nd next year. That is what I would vote.

Often, it's about $$$. Teams in salary cap jail sometimes have to let stars go..........(example: Surtain).

Trade them now, one year before they're a free agent, otherwise, you lose them with nothing in return...

Sometimes, it's about building for the future (trade good player at his peak (or just beyond it), and get a young player in the draft for the future.....maybe at a weaker position on the team).

Saban has already gone on record saying that he will not discount Surtain.

I believe that means no lower than a 3rd..maybe + another lower round pick, as well.
