Even though Im a Feeley supporter, I think Gus should work with the first team for one more week.Everyone has bad days.If he plays poorly again, considering his age and familiarity with the offense he should be demoted. I think AJ should be named the starter for the SEP 11 opener and be given two weeks with the 1st stringers.

What would you guys do if you were Saban?

he should punch both of them in the face for not playing particularly well.....

seriously though, I have no clue.....what choices does he have, its not even like he can play the lesser of two evils either

you need to make a Sage option.

at this point it can't hurt to try Sage with the first stringers. Sage played better than both these guys last year when he started versus baltimore.

Gus.

Starting against Pittsburgh is one of the worst possible assignments (if not the worst) in the NFL.
In a storm? Mighty nice of ya. Cant just have him think that he will be pulled everytime things dont work out how you wanted it. "Any given Sunday" and all that. Let him take the first team snaps again during the week and keep him at the wheel next week and see what we can do.

I am not rooting for Gus or AJ.

Gus. I still think he has better control over the offense.

No he knows the O better, but the control isn't showing to me..they do no better under him than they do under AJ, who's still learning.

AWSI DOOGER said on another thread that Saban was singing AJ's praises tonight. Did Saban just tip his hand?

It doesn't matter. We could probably start Manny Wright at QB and get equal or better results.
 MVP for the dolphins this year is a good sense of humour. We are the Arizona cardinals of the new century.

Can he hold on to the damned football? If so, start him at offense, he'll be an upgrade from what we were witness to tonight.

I know, it's exhibition season football, and these games don't mean diddly squat in the long term swing of things, but come on.. 8 Fumbles is embarrassing under any light.

Agreed. Gus doesnt seemed to get rattled like Feeley when the pressure comes. Just wish Gus showed a little more accuracy tonight. And yea I saw all the drops tonight....gave myself a headache screaming at McMichael and his slippery hands. Booker had a few too. :(

Gus had two starts, lets give AJ a start and go from there. Gus could have made Saban's job a lot easier if he would have performed half way decent.
