On M&M re was talking about Tenn possible trade down with Cleve. He believes, with many others, that there are 8 playmakers in this year's draft, and 2 dropping because of off field issues.


He said that at #12 you get a borderline top-talent and at #19 you get second round talent in this draft.
 
I smell a trade up for Miami. I have little basis other then the reports a little while back about White or Cooper. Tannenbaum wants a big splash
 
HAHA I said this a week ago and got 4 thumbs down. 14 is a bad place to be in this draft. There are 8-10 1st round level talents in this draft. The rest is 2nd round talent and lower.
 
If true, then you might as well trade down if you wont be getting 1st round talent at 14.
 
Parker or Gurley at 14 are both first round talent. Do they fall......probably one of the two. Are they worth trading up for? Not when you already are missing a third round pick and have several needs.

You mean to say that the reports I've been hearing all off season long here about this being an especially deep draft (again!) are somehow inaccurate?!? :lol:
 
I think this draft is deep, but only at certain positions and not necessarily in top-end talent. I think there is more 2nd-3rd round talent than a lot of years.
 
My take is that at #14 we are on the bubble, depending on who is there. Most see White and Parker as very close. I would trade up to get one.

Trading down will get us a good player or two who will help but, likely that's all they will do. Those are the 8-8 type guys we have been mostly getting.
 
I say we stay where we are and see who is there at 14 and see if there is someone that covets that player that is there try and trade down and pick up extra picks to move down a few spots
 
We need 3-4 players to be over-drafted for us to get one of those elite guys. Shane Ray and Lael Collins situations haven't helped us much in that regard. Ray was solildy projected to go before our pick, and Collins was projected to in some mocks as well. Fat chance now.

I could still see Ray going before us. Collins, not a chance.
