The more I see Daniels play the more I think he was a steal in the 4rd round. It's amazing that he is starting and being so effective. Poole was a nice surprise last year, I really hope that he can come back. I think Saban is doing the right thing letting him rehab until next season. If Mitchelle comes back this year, and can return to pre-injury status then the Dolphins have three young, good CB going into next year. That will be a major improvement over this year before we even get to the draft or free agency. On top of that Shulters, Bell, and Jones (before the injury) look like good pick ups at safety.

I still think that Saban will get another corner and safety before next year to add depth so that we won't have to rely on the likes of Howard if someone gets hurt. If Madison agrees to a pay cut then we could have 4 solid CBs and could look to improve elsewhere on the team.

Daniels was a 4th Rounder.

Too early to tell IMO. I like the upside of Daniels and Poole tho.

I agree with everything but the title. Poole and Daniels = Surtain and Madison-you are comparing too very young players who havnt proven much to 2 pro-bowl corners. I think they both have a great deal of potential but untill they make some pro bowls....

I sure hope you are right, but I thought Daniels would change back to safety next year after we draft or sign a free agent CB in the off season

Ya I want Daniels to be a safety with Schulters/T-Buck I actually like T-Buck and Schulters but I wouldn't mind Daniels replacing one of them. I think we should sign a starting corner and get a paycut off Madisons contract and make him the #2 with Poole at #3 and Bell playing against the slot

I'd tend to agree, but you cant tell. Madison and Surtain did not look like Pro Bowlers as rookies. Surtain was fairly mediocre his first few seasons, and Madison didnt have a very noteworthy rookie year.

I dont know that Daniels is a superstar in the making, but I think Will Poole has a bright future ahead of him. He was considered by alot of people a top CB coming out in his draft, and he showed flashes last season.

He really impressed me in the Bengals game last season. He ended up starting the game due to Surtain and Howard being injured. You've got to remember, Wannstedt never really had his CBs stick to an individual WR, so Will Poole ended up matched up against Chad Johnson for most of the game. He ended the game with 2 catches for 25 yards, and made a beautiful recovery on a deep pass for the deflection after seemingly getting burned by Johnson.

Poole is a stud; He is the reason the Dolphins felt comfortable trading Surtain, Mitchelle and Poole were supposed to be the future of our secondary but both went down with injury. Daniels stepped in and has performed great for us. Daniels was definitely a steal, can you name another rookie 4th round pick starting at CB this year?

The Dolphins secondary is going to take people by surprise next year.

Has there been any announcement of Mitchell being activated for this year? Is there any word on how he has been practicing the last two weeks? Any chance he takes Howard's spot?

I think they were taken early in the draft (sorry don't remember where), but Denver seems to have done well with Darrent Williams and Foxworth, two rookies starting in their secondary and playing well.

I haven't seen much of Poole to see anything yet, so I'll hold judgement. But IMO this Daniels kid is going to be pretty goodl. As good as Madison? we'll see.
