While he makes a lot of money, you gotta start feeling for the guy at some point. His father passed last year, and now his wife was just diagnosed with Breast cancer :shakeno: :cry:

Not to mention her younger brother died recently. I really think this is taking its toll on Brett and he's going to retire after this year.

Lots of bad things have happened to the Favre family in the last year, you have to wonder if he even still wants to play.

It's sad that such a good guy (at least how he's presented by the media) gets dealt such a bad hand. I'm not a big Favre fan and I have to admit that I want him to retire so Marino holds onto to his career pass TD's record, but it's really sad what's going on his life. Just makes me wonder if these things are motivating him or killing his spirit. Favre seems to becomes possesed on the field when these things happen. Maybe he realizes more then ever that nothing lasts forever and he wants to squeeze every last drop he can out of the game of football (not money wise, just playing while u still can)!!
