Clemons played more than he has all season, but didn’t even have a tackle. On a 12-yard run by Rashard Mendenhall on the Steelers’ opening series, Clemons seemed to shy away from contact and try to arm tackle the 225-pound back … to no avail.

Clemons was on the field on Pittsburgh QB Ben Roethlisberger’s 54-yard TD hook-up with rookie Mike Wallace late in the first quarter - the kind of play that happened time and again this season.

Wtf is up with these reporters. I dont think any of them knows a single thing about football

Lol how can they blame Clemons for running acroos the feild to try a pass where he wasn't even suppose to be ????

I seriously question their football knowledge when they are blaming a player who comes from all the way across the field to almost make the play, when he was not even RESPONSIBLE for Wallace!

I long for the day that a QB heaves the deep ball against us and I don't lower my head in disbelief afterward.

Seeing as how they are the last line of defense between a tackle and the endzone and they led the team in tackles. I'd say poor linebacker play and two rookie cornerbacks cost the dolphins all season.

how do you know he wasnt supposed to be there do you have the play book? how do you know he wasnt thinking of a differnt play and helped the wrong people? Honstly how do you know he wasnt out of postion

people like to defend Clemons, but just like pat white he has shown nothing.....not even in pre-season! and those are the facts! now your gonna hear all the he didn't play much you gotta give him a chance blah blah blah! I haven't seen even a little glimpse of something !

They were playing zone defense, that's why he ran into the other player, probably Man under coverage

Watch the replay. He either lets Holmes go free early or stay in the middle and be screwed either way.

So you are saying Gibril Wilson played well? I do agree the LBs sucked.

We brought Bell and Wilson in because we were trying to run the "quarters" coverage scheme, and they thought Wilson's experience at FS, along with Bell's intensity at SS would be a good thing.

However, we didn't have the LBers and when Will Allen went down, everything just went to hell.

I'm for getting a TRUE FS, but if we were to upgrade at LB and our CB's have a year under their belt and Will Allen comes back . . . I could maybe see us giving Wilson/Bell another shot back there. This team would have to have supreme confidence in their young CB's to do it tho.

The report is completely untrue.. He may not be on the stat sheet, but on Mendenhall's long TD run, Clemons tackled him, too bad it was on the goaline and he got in.. Still he tried to stop him and didnt shy away from the contact

And Clemons was in on the majority passing plays, being 90% of them going away from him when he was in. Unlike Gibril, who gets attacked routinely.
