I know that Hickey didn't have much to do with some of the players we had in the past, but I sometimes get annoyed at seeing players that we either cut, or put on the practice squad only to get poached by other teams, do well on their current team. They may not be having pro-bowl years, some of them are just coming into their own.

Chris Hogan: He had himself a solid game against us. I remember many people here on Finheaven loving that guy in pre-season and hard knocks. I feel like he wasn't given too much of a chance to develop with us. His arrow is pointing up and I believe he would be better if he was on a team with a real QB. Similar player to Welker, Gibson, Edelman, and others like that.

Jonas Gray: He is now getting his shot to play with NE on SNF and you are seeing the runner that we all wanted Daniel Thomas to be. A downhill, north-south, big goal-line bruising running back. It's like his break-out party and I get to thinking, "he should be our compliment to Miller." I am on Finheaven every day and read hundreds of opinions everyday. Gray is another player that lots of people here really liked and wanted to see him play Sundays. Now we get to see him do well for a division rival. It irks me.

These are just 2 guys, but I know there are others. I hope that as a team we can continue to hit on draft picks like Jarvis Landry, but to also grow players of our own.

Hickey had a solid 1st year and I. like I am sure all of us here except for people who don't believe who shall not be named, hope that he continues to grow this team to be contenders year in and year out.

Jonas Gray is having a better game than Daniel Thomas has ever had... Sigh

Daniel Thomas is like a less successful Trent Richardson.

Think about that.

Unfortunately they were picked up by other teams. Perhaps we have enough talent that they just couldn't break the active 53.

I think what annoys me the most, is that we had exactly what we needed on our team and didn't give him a shot. All these short and 1's where we need that North-South downhill runner, he was on our team. We gave Thomas a shot because Ireland spent a 2nd round pick on him.

And yes, he is having a better game tonight than any game D.Thomas has ever had.

This year? ... We cut Thomas but had to resign him due to injuries at the RB position. Hickey, Philbin and Co. never felt ANY need to stick with DT. He was simply picked back up because of his familiarity with our offense from training camp.

I could be wrong, but when Knowshon went down, we could have signed Jonas off of the Patriots practice squad instead of signing DT.

Letting Hogan and Gray go were Jeff Ireland's brainfarts. I seriously don't know why that stupid mother****er hasn't been sued by Ross and/or the fanbase.

Except without the power. For a 235 lb. back, he has shockingly little power to his runs.

Rob Nikovich is also a very good LB. He seems to always make a big play in a big game.

7-11 is an awesome player.

I thought there were a few more players that were on our team, never got much of an opportunity, and went elsewhere and turned out to be pretty damn good players.

The question is should Thomas have been favored last season over Gray? Clearly Gray > Thomas. He runs with a lower pad level, seems to hit holes nice and quickly, gets North/South right away. Runs over people well and doesn't go down on first contact.

Brandon Marshall
Vontae Davis
Wes Welker
Evan Mathis
Rob Ninkovich
Jonas Gray
7-11

Christ even Eric Walden started for a Super Bowl winning team.

It hurts to think about this kinda stuff

Some of you folk need a serious noggin check if you think we really lost out on player's like Hogan, Tyms, and even Ninkovich. :bobdole:

Rob Nikovich is also a very good LB.

Ah, really? I'd bet your membership that you didn't even have a clue that Ninkovich was playing primarily at LE this year and isn't being used as a LB or even hybrid DE/LB player due to the breakout of Jason Collins alongside fellow LB's Hightower, Casillas and Ayers.

very true but Gray had never played with this OC so I understand the reasoning.
