Do you guys see Joey getting dealt for some back-up O-lineman, I don't see much depth there and we still have 6 OLB's....maybe something was in the works before the cuts? Is it even possible to get value for him considering his contract status/health issues.

I'd say if his health is in question (I dont know if the career threatening thoughts are still being kicked around) but I'd still say he probably has very little trade value.

trade porter cause we dont have depth at oline...

we dont have depth at OLB either.

pretty big contract to trade, i think we have to live with porter for a year

I was under the impression thats why we were working our DE's in pass pro and we kept 6 of them...I'm thinking Merling can stand up and cover as much area as Joey at this point, and with both Moses and Anderson on that side it looks pretty well manned to me.

Id actually like to keep Porter. Last year he was bad, but played really good near the end of the year, and that was while playing in the 4-3. This year, he'll be playing in the 3-4, a sheme he's used to and does excellent in.

nobody wanted him as a free agent last year. Now you want a team to give something up for him??

lol, keep dreaming

Nobody wanted him at the price he was asking for*

Except one team, who stepped up to the plate and swung with all the power they could.....striking out of course.

That team was this team or the old team which was the team led by Randy Mueller :d-day:

Yeah but i think a team would consider it if they had the cap room and could get him cheap enough NOW. Especially if they had any kind of Super Bowl aspirations. Maybe a team like the Giants or the Chargers or something. I don't know their cap situations but i think Porter is movable with the injuries those teams have had.

Other than that it's obvious we over paid for Porter.....But i think he's good enough to remain on the roster. He had a pretty nice second half last year after being VERY disappointing the first half.
