I never said one time that "I guarantee." I said we were going to go out and try to get our first win.
By the time you all got a hold of it, I guaranteed it. So you all set me up for failure, but then we won. So you were, like, "Damn, now we have to make him look good, and he played pretty good, so now let's turn it around and 'Oh, thatta boy, Joey!' " I'm not falling for that trick.

i agree the man may talk too much trash. and this example is different because he called it correct on the dot. But still he never claimed like it would be a victory let alone an easy victory. Im all for porter and his calling his own 4 sack performance.

Doing it his whole career?? Doing what, speaking his mind, telling the truth?? That is what he was doing. If he would have said Castle was just as good as brady then they would have posted that also saying "Porter says Brady is no better than a backup". The media is looking for a story and will twist anything you say into one if you let them. All he said was that Castle was no Brady,TRUE!!! And that we were going up there to get our first win of the season, TRUE. What else were we going up there to do? To get blown out by 35?? He was just telling the truth. Get over it!!

The issue was whether or not he guaranteed our first win. He said "we'd like to go out and get our first win" which is completely different that "I guarantee we'll get our first win"--that's the whole issue. The fact that Cassell is not Brady is one of the truest statements in all sports.
