Would the Dolphins take a hit $$$ wise if they just let him go, or save money? Honestly we'd be better off with him gone and them signing JT for one more year. We don't need both, and I'd rather have Taylor.

We could trade with a team that desperately needs defensive help, and get a WR. Or trade for a younger defender? I think it's be a good way to get a WR since defense should be helped through the draft.

To my understanding, in an uncapped year, we can wipe away all out mistakes, as can everyone else.

I don't think it's going to happen. The NFLPA has a sweet deal. They make a mockery of a union if they allow an uncapped year. I'm among the minority that believe it won't happen.

I think the week he was inactive was a clear sign that the end was near for Porter in a Dolphins uniform. I am curious to see what Ethan has to say because if he is not a team player, he definitely needs to go.

As for the CBA, the owners are trying to dump the overpaid salaries they have now so I am 99% sure there will be no cap this coming season. Even with the incentives/constraints the NFL is putting on both sides to reach an agreement, it is highly unlikely they will.

I'm usually wrong. We'll see :ohno:

If uncapped he will be dumped, if not they might try to trade him for some footballs but no one will touch that salary and it would be a big hit.

I'm kinda suprised I always thought that was a huge benefit of having jp around was he was a leader and a team player. I wonder why their saying he isn't and what sparked it. Wondering if it was over the benching at Tampa? HUH!

I do too because no ****ing good will come out of an uncapped year, none.

At the very least I hope they at least extend the current contract.
Which is what I expect to happen. SOmetime at the last minute they will extend. As such If dolphins are planning to cut salaries like JP GW etc... they will have to wait till the last moment in order not to get screwed.

Sparano hinted a couple of weeks ago that Porter's ego was one of the things 'keeping' Cam Wake on the bench. My take on that was they still needed Porter to show up the last few games and if Wake took more of his PT he might tank. I think he's gone.
