Ok, if we sign Calvin Pace we will have three guys whose main position on defense are the 3-4 OLB. There are rumors that Parcells and CO may want to play Pace inside in the 3-4. I've heard he has played inside a little bit during his time in AZ, but do you guys think he can play inside full time? My other question is about Joey Porter....does anyone believe he would be able to play inside the 3-4, which would leave Pace on the outside if he were signed? Would you guys rather trade JT and leave both Pace and Porter on the outside? Or, last but not least, would you rather leave Pace alone altogether and keep Porter and Taylor on the outside and try to draft an ILB? Speak your minds people...

Edit: Sorry if the poll is a little tough to read. I realized I didn't space it enough in between the two positions. Forgive me.:foundout:

Like ive been saying i think he can be a very good ILB in the 3-4 and i hav a feeling that what we lookin at him for

honestly i like pace and want him here but 20mill is alot of money, i think if pace comes here taylor is gone, i dont care what parcells says, if he lets people know that he wants taylor out and taylor wants out then we lose leverage. bottom line if we get pace bye bye taylor if pace goes to NY than JT will probably stay. we cant pay JT, PORTER, and pace big money it just doesnt make since to have your 3 highest paid players play the same position. also i dont think JT is a fit for the 3-4

How about
OLB-Taylor, Long
ILB-Porter, Pace

Crowder can watch from the sidelines

I'm sorry, I totally disagree with that part. He won his DPOY award when we were much closer to playing a 3-4 than a 4-3.

JT is way better in the 4-3 imo, he is good in the 3-4 but he is suited better for 4-3 speed rusher imo

Joey Porters' pass rushing threat is diminishing IMO. I find Jason Taylor and Pace to be better pass rushers than Porter and do believe that Porter can play MLB in the 3-4.

Given that Porter and Taylor are getting old for the game, Miami's expected to draft a LB at some point this year.

Long OLB, Crowder ILB, Porter ILB, Pace OLB (taylor traded)

thats what i would like to see, Pace and Long are in the 270 lb range, while Porter is in the 250 lb range with Crowder, you want your bigger backers on the outside in the 3-4 defense

My choice is "other"

I honestly don't think any of the 4 choices will be our actual starting 4 come opening day. Taylor is 50/50 to be back, Pace is 50/50 to sign, and I think Crowder has about a 50/50 shot at holding a starting job.
