I noticed this during the game but had no clue what was going on. Wow...not a good week for our LBs.

With 3:23 left to play in Sunday's Dolphins loss to the Patriots, Dolphins coach Tony Sparano got an ugly glimpse of how hard to control Joey Porter is when the linebacker collected an unnecessary roughness penalty -- no doubt, on purpose.
One play later Porter was flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct -- just a guess here, but whatever he did was probably premeditated. And so Sparano had seen enough. He sent Charlie Anderson into the game to replace Porter.
Porter refused to leave the field in direct insubordination of his coach's wishes. Porter ordered Anderson to go back to the bench. After the game, Porter refused to speak with the media. (So much for being a stand-up guy.)

He's an emotional player, too emotional at times but thats Peezy. It's not right to do, but that's him.

This is clearly crossing the line. Porter is pushing his luck too far. I think Sparano has to punish him. Cameron let Porter do things like this last year and look how that turned out. It will be very interesting to see how this unfolds.

This is exactly what I thought it was when I was watching. What do you expect? Joey Porter is a GREAT talent and one hell of a player. But he's a cancer. He jaws too much. He's not playing if he isn't talking. I've said time and time again that this guy needs to just shut the hell up and play football. His job isn't to run his mouth.

If we can deal this guy for a decent pick, I'm all about it. You guys can call me crazy if you want but if Porter were on any other team doing the SAME GARBAGE he does here, you'd be killing him for being such a gutterball.

This kind of behavior is unacceptable for a PROFESSIONAL football player.

Ridiculous.

I am sure the hammer will come down from Sparano and be backed up by Parcells. Parcells won't stand for this and I think it is interesting comment about trading him. It wouldn't surprise me at all. He is having a great year and would attract many offers.

Cancer? he was one of the leaders on the Stealers who won a super bowl.

He had to act that way. I mean he called out all Dolphins fans and then didn't produce. If he called us all out and then was pulled then he loses his intimidation factor. Once you lose that you can never get it back. Also, this game was personal for him and he was walked all over. It was an emotions getting the better of his brain thing.

It was wrong but it was the only option he had to still look like a man. I expect a team fine or suspension but they would never trade away our best defensive veteran leader.

He is our best player on defense. He better not be going anywhere.

If he challenges Sparano like that again best player or not, I think he'll be gone. This staff is all about acountability. If this goes unchecked, Sparano may very well lose this team. But somehow, I don't think that will happen.

I love his fire but he needs to keep it under control. Once it becomes a negative to the team, he's crossed the line.

It's an interesting dilemma. Do you suspend your best pass rusher while your still in a playoff chase or just give him a hefty fine? I cant imagine Parcell's allowing Joey to get away with this. I don't think he'll be suspended for the remainder of the season but I think he's going to get at least a one game suspension.

Maybe Porter needs to be benched for next weeks game. Make an example out of him and show him that he is NOT going to run over Tony like he did idiot Cameron

how did this go from joey not listening to his coach and leaving the field to Tony losing the team??
Everyone on this team respects the coach who has got them to a 6-5 record and everyone on the team knows how Joey is.
i would say im 99.9% sure EVERYONE on the team respects Tony

Oh and by the way F Charlie Anderson can we please throw a new Lb in to blitz and get no where

He is our best player on defense. This goes without question. It's not even debatable. But he is a cancer. Just because he is our best player doesn't mean that he gets to go along for the ride because of that fact. No one is irreplaceable.

Terrell Owens is the best offensive player for the Cowboys and Parcells was dying to get rid of that loudmouth showoff. Jerry Jones wouldn't do it. Jerry Jones loves the flashy mouthy guy and Parcells hates it. Parcells is now in position to can garbage like this and don't think that he won't do it if Porter keeps this crap up. Don't be surprised if he's suspended for a game or two due to his insubordination.

Some people need a reality check and need to understand that this is a business first and a sport second. There's a problem when an employee, which is what Joey Porter is, directly disobeys a superior's orders. This is beyond crossing the line and some of you think that because he leads the NFL in sacks he should get a pass and the rules do not apply to Mr. Porter.

I'm sick of hearing his mouth. He's a phenomenal player and I wish he would just shut the hell up and play football.
