in an article on ESPN it says that porter sees miami as a contender

"I came here to Miami to help this team get to a championship," said Porter, who helped the Steelers win the Super Bowl two seasons ago. "I felt this would be a good situation for me, so it didn't take a lot of convincing."

interesting. im not sure how to feel about this, i don't believe right now we are much of a contender but who knows how things will turn out

He'd probably know, since he was part of a championship team not too long ago.
 
bro wiht an offense that average only 1 TD a game, we wont 6 games cuz of our defense, imagine what we can do wiht a unit thats been together for a year now, a unit that has more talent now n somethin we lacked ( I swear spragan was seen only onec a game for a year every game on aplay and that was always on a replay of someone elses work) and got in Porter. the LB himself is great in coverage our LB's werent taht great so taht also helps out the TE coverage scenario or what not.

IF we can have an offense like we did the last 6 games of 05 and the defense of last year if not better, we are a playoff team.
 
29th ranked offesne have usually been a top 5 pick via draft if im not mistakening and id love someeon to find this info out. usually dont win 4 games. we got 6 and lost almost 3 b/c of mares FG's. so now you tell me how does a team ranked 29th in offense lose by less then 7 pts more hten 80% of the Loses they have? cuz they are just THAT CLOSE to being good. give us a top 20 ranked offense scoring, and wed have beaten Pitts, those 3 we lost by a FG, beat Indy considering we have 5 FG's zero TD's. and many more, c'mon guys! offense has been our key to success cuz our D has almost ALWAYS been there for us.
 
What he meant was we will have a defense good enough to carry us to the championship game, and a offensive coach to help, then its not so far fetched. I believe!!!!!!!!!!!!!
