Joey woke up in SD, before he went out. Now, he has seen and heard a whole lot about Wake being better, and taking his place. Although it was one game vs a bad team, he has something to prove.

Wake has gotten a taste of the NFL, and wants MUCH MORE.

Weak side LB is gonna be a great deal of fun to watch.

Joey is not worried about anyone taking his place, he welcomes the extra pressure, makes his JOB EASIER!

Well, technically, Joey has nothing to worry about as far as linebacker. I doubt Wake plays much as an actual WOLB much this season. However, he may have to worry about his job on passing downs where he has his hand down. That's where he got most of his sacks. But they might keep all 3 of them on the field as mentioned in some articles.

Porter is probably safe for this year, with Wake subsituting some. However, Porter may traded or let go in the off season if Wake comes on. That would mean resigning JT.

This is just a pipe dream ik but i would love trading Porter for a 2nd before the deadline (if we loose tonight) and after the season if we win... then id do a high second and a 3rd for a first and draft both Brandon Spikes and Rolando Mcclain.

That would be beastly. itd be mind boggling to have a LB group of Wake, Mcclain, Spikes, JT.

I see that BP isn't afraid to draft 2 players from the same position early in the draft (vontae davis and sean smith) so i could see him doing it again...

Its looking like we have 2 absolute shutdown CB's for the next 10 years. Add two stud MLB for 10 years and Wake at OLB for mayb 10 and u have 3 stud LB's and 2 stud CB's for the next 8, 9, 10 years. Our Dline looks pretty good and hopefully Solia can step up and be a good NT. Clemons could step up and be a ballhawking safety.. add a OLB and and TE in the following draft and in the same offseason trade for a #1 WR.. ;]
