Position Analysis: Offensive Backs

Im interested in Kay-Jay Harris. Im from the UK so i know virtually nothing about this kid. Seen a few ppl last pre season mentioning him. Can he come thru and replace Minor or Morris?

I also think KJ could fill the need if Ricky is suspended. If he stays healthy that is.

I definatly think he is capable of being a solid #3...

I take it hes injury prone then G-Force? what does he bring to the show FinNasty? Is he a power back or more elusive runner?

From the clips I seen, he's a power, "If you're a DB, you're going under my wheels," runner. He's also a very underrated receiver from what I seen in the pre-season.

So a Ronnie Brown type player then by the sound of it. Wil be interesting to see if he gets a shot in pre-season.

He had a injury in college where he blew his knee out I beleive I will check for you. He is a combination who in one game put up over 350 yards in a game showing what Ronnie shows as far as speed, power, and agility. IMO he could be a complete all around back with size and breakaway speed.

 G-Force Will be interesting to see then if he can beat out Minor. Travis is good on ST but we may need a good 3rd down back and depending on what happens to Ricky.

Sorry my membership has run out on scout.com and I can't access that anywhere. I'm not sure but if you ever see WVfinfan around he would know the facts. I also beleive he would have made the roster last year had Minor and Morris not been so good at special roles. KJ was impressive in camp reports and played well for a rook in preseason.

Kay Jay is a little misunderstood, he doesnt have great speed. He ran I believe a 4.56 40, he is still quick but will more than likely be run down from behind limiting his big plays. He is shifty, and has good hands but struggles with concentration and will drop some easy passes. He is also pretty old he played minor league baseball for three years.

Not according to his NFL.com draft profile:
INJURY REPORT 2004 -- Left after the first series of the Central Florida game with a hamstring strain, but returned the next game … Left the Virginia Tech game with a knee sprain and missed the following game with knee and ankle injuries.

I couldn't access that either so thanks. I don't guess he has bad injuries but does have a problem with nagging injuries then. I remembered researching him when we picked him up and was concered. He is 240 and maybe needs to lose a few pounds to stay healthier and recover faster.
