What do you guys think are the most interesting training camp battles we will see? And who do you think will come out on top? These are the ones i can think of:
Holliday vs Roth vs Carter? DE
Carter vs Bowens vs Chester? DT
Howard vs Poole? CB
Free Saftey is wide open?
Evans vs Morris? FB
Thompson vs Gilmore? 3rd WR
Crowder vs Spragan vs Moore?
These are just a few I coulf think of. I cant wait to see who wins these battles. Any thoughts?

i'm most interested in what is going to play out in the secondary and on the o line

Carter will be a starting DT. Chester and Bowens are both coming off of serious injuries so they'll split time.

I'm interested to see if Roth and Crowder can both win starting jobs.

I'm also interested in the FS job, hell even the UDFA from Oregon State has a shot at winning the job (ok maybe I'm going alittle overboard)

Feeley
VS Frerrotte QB (Starter/Backup)
Rosenfelds VS Berlin QB (3th Stringer)

TE quest will be TNT!!! Somehow Randy's been looking to be a TE with big number of yards and TDs, in order to traslate those into dollar$, but Saban needs a multifunctional, sacrifice TE who surely won't make tons of yards, but will become mostly another OL, a WR in some plays and maybe in tricky plays a QB.

DE - I think people are discounting Holliday too early. This guy was all world in GB. KC's D sucked and they misused him. DE will be interesting given that Taylor will be one but who gets the other spot and who are the rotation guys. I see D. Bowens as the odd man out unless he can convert to LB because of his salary.

LB - will be fun because this is Saban's strength. There are alot of young guys so it will be interesting to see who stays. I would expect half of the D this year will be different than last year. I'm sure Saban wants his type of guys and I believe that there will be more changes to come on the D side.

OL - This is the area the team needs the most improvement - it will be interesting to see what guys are Houck's type of guys. Were there guys last year that are very good but were just in a crappy system. I heard nothing but good things about Jeno James and yet he played so so. I hope it was just Wise's system and he will shine with a real coach.

I dont think Gilmore v Thompson is much of a competition. Thompson looked good towards the end of the year and I think the job is pretty much his. Unless of course we sign Boston or Hakim or some other WR cut after June 1st
