It's decision time!!!!

My picks by the way are
-Ted Ginn (you can't teach speed)
-Alan Branch (he's huge, the nose tackle we need)
-Steve Smith (ready to explode, slightly better than Gonzales in my eyes)
-Arron Sears (He can play either guard or tackle and is more polished than Ugoh)
-Daymion Hughes (the ballhawk in the secondary we need, he's a playmaker)

Meachem - Ginn is STILL recovering from that injury (one which happened CELEBRATING :shakeno:), and it shouldn't be taking this long. Who knows if he will still be a 4.3 guy whenever it fully heals. Plus he shys away from contact and isn't a great route runner. Also, 5-11, 178lbs probably has the safeties of the league salviating.

Okoye - Great talents already, and only 19! Think of the potential this kid has. Plus branch is rumored to be lazy and take plays off.

Gonzalez - I'm not a huge fan of Smith, and I think Gonzalez could fill Wes Welkers slot spot pretty well.

Sears - experience at OG and OT, so can fill in where necessary.

Hughes - Makes the plays, which we desperately need.

Meachem - I love his size, and he clocked a great 40 at the combine. I live in TN and have watched this guy play. He is a beast . . . the kind of receiver who can catch the ball, plant the corner into the ground, and take it to the house (ala TO or Jerry Porter).

Okoye - More upside, younger, and a better worker. Just not sure if he can develop into an NT.

Smith - This is really a toss up, but I give the nod to Smith because I think he is flying a bit under the radar. They are both solid.

Ugoh - I like Sears, but I think Ugoh has a better shot at staying at tackle in the NFL.

Wright - This is an awful decision to make. Wright has some sever character issues that really worry me. Still, Hughes is a Cover 2/Zone guy and not necessarily a good fit for us. He would be better off at Tampa or Indy.

WR-Ted Ginn
DT-Branch, although Okoye is right there.

WR - Steve Smith
OT - Sears
CB-Daymion Hughes

Ginn - Concerned about his size but he can greatly improve our return game along with stretching the field at WR. I do like Meachum and wouldn't be upset with that pick.
Okoye - far more upside at only 19. Can't play nose? Maybe but how much weight have you gained after 19? Might be able to play 3/4 end if he gives back some weight. Tremendous speed and quickness for his size.
Gonzales - very tough call here. Very similar players and I would be happy with either at 2b
Sears - can play muliple line spots
Wright - Hughes just reminds me of Fletcher part II

Meachem - Much more of a complete receiver than Ginn. Ginn definitely has the potential to be the home run threat we need, but there is a lot of risk in drafting him early.

Branch - Not a huge fan of the guy, but he is a massive NT that could anchor our D for the next decade as long as he doesn't eat his way out of the league.

Smith - Productive in college and has more upside than Gonzalez IMO.

Ugoh - While not quite as polished as Sears, I think he has the ability to turn into a good LT with the proper coaching. Most scouts seem to project Sears as more of a guard than a tackle.

Hughes - Lacks the elite speed you look for in a corner, but has the hands and playmaking ability we've lacked since Surtain and Madison left town.
