Just curious about the chances of this happening, because i have seen a lot of chatter in the forum about it happening. But the last time i checked, there isn't a week 17 sunday night or monday night game. So i have no idea whats goin on and was hoping someone could fill me in.

there is currently no game scheduled for that week on primetime, but they choose it 6 days in advance only for week 17. its likely going to be r game or cowboys at eagles. since the nfl loves the cowboys, if it comes down to 2 of those games having playoff implications they will prob put cowboys eagles.

There's no Monday Nighter on Week 17.

Here's good news: No team can appear on Sunday Night Football more than three times....

Dallas has been on 3 times

Won't the Giants be on SNF for the 4th time in a couple weeks?

no this will be the giants will have played 3 snf after the carolina game. [ philly, dallas ,carolina]. there other 2 primetime games were wsh on thursday nite football, and cleveland on mnf.

I'll be there and I am hoping it becomes primetime. Its time to show the nation how our team is improved and is the suprise of the NFL.

the rule as I heard it is that no team can appear on NBC more than 4 times....that is why NYG are out for week 17, the week 16 game against Carolina will be their 4th (3 on sunday night, and the opening thursday night game.

EDIT: Here's a quote from a Miami Herald article about flex scheduling:

A few rules make flex scheduling a challenge for NBC and the league.

CBS and Fox each get to protect five games (though none in Week 17). Only three teams can make as many as six prime-time appearances. And no team can appear more than four times on NBC.

I dont care what time the game is at ..ill be at the game for probably the greatest regular season finish ill ever see...GO FINS

i think cowboys eagles will still be flexed if its allowed... NFL loves the cowpokes and the NFC east in general, they could both be fighting for a playoff spot so i think they'd flex them...

i mean ****, they flexed Dallas - NYG this week, eventhough Pittsburgh vs Baltimore im sure is a game more die hard NFL fans would want to see, and has just as much playoff implication...

pretty sure that was the originally scheduled game, they didn't flex it.

If Cowboys/Eagles is for a playoff birth, there's a good chance it does get flexed....however, don't overlook the appeal of a) NY market and b) Brett Favre....I mean, John Madden still does the Sunday Night game, right?
