Possible first cuts!

good point about first dibs on cuts. i didn't think about that. i can see some guys being shipped out to bring in another team with better talents cuts.

i hope rod wright can show some things in camp. i think he could be a solid end in the 3-4 down the road possibly.

davon bess i like as a slot wr and specials guy. we may have something there. may not have excellent timed speed but he's quick in and out of his cuts like another guy we had who wasn't a burner and was more quick than fast wes welker. not saying he'll be we welker or anything.

there should be 2 cuts in the next week.

Official team site has 82 on the roster, with Henne and Merling unsigned. Once they sign, 2 guys will have to be release as you can only bring 80 guys to training camp.

So the first step should be looking at the bottom of the list for the 2 guys who won't even make it to camp.

bess is another nightmare waiting to happen. he doesn't fit the parcells mold and he'll just blow it up with another team. i'm from hawai'i and i really am hoping bess makes it, but i think it's a small chance:nailbiter::nailbiter::nailbiter:

Ireland has been raving about him and thinks he has a good chance of making the team. I could see Ninkovich and Halterman out of here next.

If I were a betting man, I would guess that one of the wrs and Mulligan, the tight end will be the guys. Just my guess. And I believe the Dolphins will pursue Sosa, the UDFA OL from Rutgers.

I hope the Phins can grab a decent wr after cuts are made. The Giants cant keep all their wideouts, one or 2 decent guys have to go. I cringe every time I look at our current receiving core.

While I'd like to see Camarillo make it through preseason for obvious reasons, I think for those very same reasons, he'll be the one to go if not appreciably better than whomever he's competing with. To fans he may represent the difference between just plain awful versus historically abominable, but to Parcells who surely must want to instill a team and media image light years removed rom the loser's mindset, any direct association that conjures up memories of 1-15 is better off being excised.

Anyone else think it would be a mistake if they let Rodrique Wright go? The kid has a lot of talent and showed it at times last year, he IMO should stay a Dolphin.

Wasn't he a first round prospect until he tore his rotator cuff in college?

I do, but we have a lot of competition at that position, someone has to go.

Yea, but I just hope he doesn't become a casualty simply due to the fact that he wasn't hand picked by parcells and co. If Wright outlplays Langford or one of the Vets I just hope the FO makes the right decision. It might just be me, but all this talk about them picking "their guys" or their type of players scares the hell out of me. I just have a feeling they're going to end up releasing a pro bowl capable player simply because he doesn't fit "their mold"

The best player is going to play. They arn't going to let some guy that has a ton a talent go. If he is lazy or something like that then he will be gone. I think Wright will make it to training camp, but he better work his butt off and become a parcells guy really quick!
