I don't think most of the decent linebackers will be around by the time we pick at #25, and I think we need to go after a WR, CB and another O-lineman (like Center Alex Mack) first....but I think Scott McKillop, ILB, Pittsburgh would be a great pickup in Round 3, if he is still on the board.

McKillop's top production was a credit to his instincts and efficiency getting through traffic and to the ballcarrier. The 2008 Big East Defensive Player of the Year and twice unanimous first-team All-Big East linebacker racked up 288 tackles, 27.5 for loss and seven sacks the past two seasons. He showed potential as a true freshman, stepping in for an injured H.B. Blades to make 13 tackles against West Virginia. Teams won't write "wow" on their notepad when seeing him at the Combine weigh-in, but they do when watching his college game film.

I don't think he will make it to the 3rd...I could be wrong though. It just depends on team needs. If a team needs an LB bad, he might go from the mid to end of the 2nd. A team, like us, might be tempted with that second pick in the 2nd if we don't get a new ILB in free agency...

Hes a playmaker and I like him alot. I'l bet he measures smaller and therefore falls after the combine.

3rd or 4th?

He is probably going to run a 4.6 something and end up going in the 1st round to the Giants. Rumor has it they love the guy.

His stats dwarf those of any other ILB including Maualuga's and Laurenitus's, but that only the tip of the iceberg.

The kid is brilliant; he has long since graduated and is on his way to getting his masters.

Not only that, his football IQ seems to be greater than his regular IQ.

On top of that, his leadership at Pitt is almost legendary.

In addition to that, his dedication as shown in his "Zach Thomasesque"
game preparation was raved about by his coach.

The only knock on him has been elite timed speed but if he runs well even that obstacle will have been removed.

If he is there at 48 the Dolphins would be remiss in not drafting him.

he sounds like a bigger Zach Thomas, and i honestly would not mind that at all...
