Possible new Punter..

Last season was so strange...

Punter had an AMAZING camp...reporters, twatters, fans, all reporting how precise and steady he was...then the lights come on and he goes full dump-truck. Then toward the end of the season he was getting closer to being good again. Maybe had some soft-tissue problem we didn't hear about? Mentally couldn't square himself?

Either way...new blood is good for competition if nothing else.

Did he really? I didn't see that stat I guess. Seemed the first half of the season or so he was very unreliable...short punts, etc.

And I disagree with the team not needing a strong punter...its another weapon that if you can add it, and it doesn't prevent other signings, you take it. Special teams are vastly underrated IMO.

This offense will have 3 and outs...all do. When they do, it would be nice to be able to flip the field and not put the defense's back to the wall.
 
I would rather draft one and be done with it for 10 years. But it doesn’t really matter and if we go FA so be it.

Morstead is 36 so if we go him, team will be looking again soon.
 
Why don't NFL teams get one guy that can't punt and kick FGs? Frees up a roster spot and isn't kicking becoming less important in NFL? Go for all TDs and 2-point conversions.

Draft Jordan Stout (Penn St), he can do it. Or bring Pat McAfee out if retirement 🤣
