Today on Sports Xtra Super Agent Drew Rosenhaus said that Satle days as a Dolphin could be numbered. He said while there is a chance he could stay and compete with Donald Thomas, but the most likely Scenario is him being traded. Last year Lorenzo Booker was traded for a fourth, and it is no secret that this organization has been wanting to trade Beck since last year. It now seems likely more than ever that Satele will be traded.

Miami signed two C in this offseason and rookie success Donald Thomas will be coming back from an injury as well as Ndukwe who filled in nicely last season. The Dolphins have also shown Interest in Herman Johnson who is a monster OL at 6-7 and 300 plus pounds. My theory is Miami will trade Satele to a team who uses more of a zone blocking technique.

This year version of the Cowboys who Miami reided last year has been the Oakland Raiders. So far Miami has signed to former Raiders in Wilson and Grove and they could be sending Satele to the Raider for a pick. The dream scenario would be Satele for Asomugha, but that is the biggest pipe dream ever. Another team could be the Broncos who seem to have a need at C. The Minnesota Vikings just lost Matt Birk and the Houston Texans could be in the running for an Athletic player like Satele who I think can play C and G. It remains to be seen if and when Satele will be dealt and what Miami would get in return a Corner would be great, or 4th or 5th round pick could really help in the draft.

Things is that Satele really does not fit the type of Lineman this organization likes. He is undersized and he is athlethic. Right now they are trying to see if he even fits. Miami prefers Big Lineman who are gonna man handle opposing Dlines. Satele is more suited for a zone blocking offense, where alot of pulling and teaming up is done.

I don't think he's going to be traded. More likely, they'll keep him around for depth purposes. Not that it'd surprise me if he was traded.

I think the fact that Ndukwe is coming back and Berger was signed eliminates some of the of the chances of him coming back. You can't forget that Shawn Murphy was drafted last year and this organization is eventually gonna want to see if this kid is any good.

In this superb draft class of Centers I believe it will be too tough to get back value for Satele. He deserves to be traded for a 2nd rounder and that may be a hard sell. His value is better served on our line competing with Grove or Thomas or Smiley's spot (if and when he gets injured).

i want to keep satele atleast for this year.. i want to see that last year was a bad year... but if satele wasnt on the dolphins.. i could picture him in a colts uni...

You have to think if a organization would rather waste a pick on a C or trade for one who has shown upside, but does not fit the scheme. Unger and Mack's stock have dropped big time and are looking more like 2nd round picks now. It is gonna be real interesting to see what i s done with Satele.

Trade him for a 3rd to a team like Oakland or Denver who prefer zone blocking. Maybe Indy would be interested as Saturday is old and Indy struggled on the O-line last year when Saturday got hurt. They run a small but athletic O-line and may like the insurance Satele provides for a 3rd or 4th rounder.

The Steelers could use a center as well, but I don't think Satele fits their mold in what they look for in O-linemen. Although, at times, the Steeler line was just brutal last season.

To the OP, Satele wouldn't be a fit with the Vikings at all.. Minny likes big mauling O-lineman.

The Clts just signed Saturday, I could see them drafting a C to eventually unseat Satrday. I think the Vikings and Raiders could be big time players. Remember Satele is from Hawaii and he might want to be closer to home. I wonder if the 49ers need a C. There line was not one of the best last year.

Minny is missing a C though and I think Spielman could cough up a pick.

I think the fact that Ndukwe is coming back and Berger was signed eliminates some of the of the chances of him coming back. You can't forget that Shawn Murphy was drafted last year and this organization is eventually gonna want to see if this kid is any good.
And what if Murphy is no good and Satele is gone? One thing this front office has avoided so far is creating holes on purpose.

I agree with southjerzmastax: keep Satele and see if last season was just a fluke (because of injury or whatever).

Miami is said to be looking at lineman in the draft. They have shown Interest in Herman Johnson who is a freakish T/G prospect. I think Miami will draft an OL after round 3 and I think Satele's are numbered because he can't help this time, simply because the organization this not like him.

Info-
Barry Jackson, of the Miami Herald, reports the Dolphins want OL Satele to compete with OG Dolald Thomas for the guard spot opposite OG Justin Smiley.
