I agree on his limitations. If he elevates and goes after the ball with his hands rather than cradle catching deep balls, he would be much more effective. However, he is the deep threat we need to keep safeties and d coordinators honest. Unless Grant shows something ahead of schedule or Parker wakes up, who do we have that stretches defenses?
 
Don't you think Grant can replace Stills? Grant is probably a better deep threat (hes faster). Probably a way better blocker too. I wouldn't cry over losing Stills

Next year, I think that is very possible. Not sure he can be worked in effectively this year.
 
Given Drake's size and 4.3 speed, I think it's foolish not to at least try him strictly at WR for a few games. Get him out in space with his RB moves, let him fly.
 
The switch to the 3-4 and a few smaller injuries really set him back to the point where he's been invisible for the Eagles. His athleticism is what made everyone drool over him but he didn't improve much as his career progressed.

If he we're released he's someone you'd definitely take a flyer on but outside of that I don't see him coming to Miami. We got the right Eagles LB last year in a trade.
 
How are you going to get this done as Philly would still have to get a contract done for UFA Stills. Just saying.
 
My thinking on Stills has metamorphosed to the point where I think TBum is gonna make every effort to resign him out of self-preservation. That's because fingers will be pointed at him if Caroo, who he way overpaid for and has done nothing so far to justify it, can't fill the void. It will definitely be a reflection on our FO version of Lazarus, and you better believe, especially with the ascension of Gase in Ross's eyes, that he's all about "CYA!
 
Is this even possible? Stills is a FA, how can he be traded?
 
Isn't it rare that players are traded for other players in the NFL? Especially ones who were due to be free agents the following year?
