Miami have made it clear that they would like to trade down and get more picks. So, who could be possible trade partners with Miami?

Dallas at 27 may want to trade up. It wouldn't surprise me if Jerry Jones wants Gurley badly. Trading up from 27 to 14 would mean their 1st, 2nd and 3rd, according to Jimmy Johnson's draft value chart.

Outside of my theory on Dallas, who do you think may trade up to 14 and why?

Years ago, I used to drive myself bat-**** crazy thinking about this type of question.

The draft is such a fluid process with so many variables (who's left on the board when we pick, who's in the spots directly behind us, what their needs are, how much would it cost a team to move up to our spot versus waiting a few more ... Etc.)

Since all teams have needs, technically you could make a case for any team moving up to #14. I don't bother worrying about it anymore. It always just ends up becoming irritating, and in the end it takes away from the fun of allowing the draft to unfold.

Your mileage may vary. :chuckle:

I always look at who is directly behind us and who they are likely to pick. The dream scenario is that a QB hungry team is behind us and a Mariotta is still undrafted at that point. I doubt that is the case this year. SF does need a player like the Nebraska DE/LB that is falling. If he is there when we pick a team may trade up with us to get him ahead of SF. I could see Philadelphia giving us a third round pick to move up 6 spots. Not sure what the chart says there. Maybe the compensation is too light so maybe they throw in a pick next year as well.

Man , whoever takes Gregory high is out of their mind . If the guy is dumb enough to smoke with millions on the line and the chance of being set for life ..... He just flat out doesn't care about anything . Guy went full on retard ...you never go full on retard

The moment that Gregory gets paid ... He's going to use his money to buy a pound of Girl Scout cookies .... Roll it into
The fattest blunt you've ever seen ... And get blasteddddd

Pass

( unlike Gregory )

Totslly agree, putting him in a place like South Beach with money, I'm sure nothing would go wrong.

I could see us possibly moving down because of lack of picks and so many holes but if we do move down I would hope not too many spots. I would be shocked if we moved up considering the lack of picks we have, all the holes we have on the roster and the attempt were making to infuse the roster with youth.

Philly is #1 imo. Dallas will be eyeing gurley/Gordon. SD will be too. Dallas may want to jump ahead. Indy and Denver want one of these two imo.

They are home run hitters.

I'm not so sure Dallas is eyeing Gurley, certainly not enough to give up much to move up to 14. I think them letting Murray walk shows they are confident it is their line that makes their running game potent more than the ball carrier.

From what I've been told, there is really nobody worth the #14 pick, so who are these teams willing to give up invaluable 2nd or 3rd round picks to get?

Detroit @23 is my dark horse pick.

Mines too. Posibility that Shelton falls and Malcom Brown will just be sitting there at #14.

Can't tell if you're joking or not :err: Different teams have different needs.

For the first time in years I think the team is happy where they are. Someone good at a need position will fall to 14, and trading up would cost a ton. Trade back is always an option because, hey, this is the Dolphins and there are perpetually lots of holes to fill, but I think they stick it out at 14

I think it's far more likely that we are going to trade around starting in the 2nd and beyond.
