Dolphins | Quinn could visit team

Armando Salguero, of the Miami Herald, reports the <A href="http://www.kffl.com/team/22/nfl">Miami Dolphins are interested in speaking with Notre Dame QB Brady Quinn, and could bring him to visit as part of their annual visits of college players. They could be considering a scenario where they trade up to the No. 2 overall pick, where the Detroit Lions are listening to offers. The Dolphins currently have the No. 9 pick in the draft, and also have two second-round picks.

Interesting indeed. I'd love to trade up for Quinn, and we have the ammo this year to do it. The cold hard fact is that the Phinz are desperate for a franchise Qb, and Quinn would certainly fit that bill.....

I hope there is some real substance to this, and I'm anxious to find out more. Thanks for the report....

Sorry...But I don't see it happening. It would take the Dolphins first and both 2nd round picks....and more to get up to the 2nd pick....and this from a team that we all know has so many needs....an a GM that has already said he wished he had more picks to fill the holes we have. I see this as nothing more than a team trying to scam other teams....besides....wouldn't the Dolphins try to keep it a secret....if they did want to move up...so the other teams wouldn't know more than a month ahead of the draft?

You don't think our #9, along with both second rounders would be enough???...

We'd still have approx 6 more draft picks at our disposal. It's been a long time since the Phinz have been able to accumulate 9 draft picks in one off-season, and taking that into consideration, this kind of opportunity may not present itself again for a very long time...

The Lions are entertaining offers, and if we want to move up, it's not like we have a choice in keeping our interest a secret....

Looks more like clevland with the signing of jamal lewis and 2 good RB backup will draft Quinn. Now the loins are playiig this game to make them ge the clevland pick and some to move up. Nothing to do with anyteam.

clevland gets quinn and in 2nd/3rd round a OT/Center they do have some decent offence to field.then spend on some 3rd and 4th on young DB+LB.

The top pick is worth 3000 points, the Lions pick is worth 2600....the Dolphins pick is worth 1400 points.....the 40th pick is worth 500 points and the 60th pick is worth 300 points.....do the math. Unless you throw in a player....I don't see the Dolphins having enough firepower....and is either Russell or Quinn worth that much? We gave up so much for Ricky....what did that get us?

What about the Dolphin 2 and Chambers?

Excuse me, but I'm not very familair with the "points system" and how it works. I do know how to add though. Thanks....

Absolutely. Plus, they'll get their franchise QB to throw it to all that talent at 9.

Sorry...I disagree....didn't the Lions select two or three receivers already from prior first rounds? The Lion fans would burn down the stadium.

Points shmoints. How many points was Brady? Don't worry about that. The real talent people in this league are about the people, not the numbers. Mueller is one of those.

Sorry you took it the wrong way Blitz....didn't mean it that way.

I'm backing Pete on this. He's one of the knowledgable guys in here. Don't take my post wrong either. :)

It would take the Dolphins first round....both of the second round picks this draft and next years 2nd....to add up to the value of the 2nd pick.....NO one player is worth that.
