Here's a nice one from Terry Bradshaw ............although I think he missed the atrocious number of false starts we had........

Who were those guys?
Miami's easy win over the Broncos surprised me. The Dolphins looked like the Nick Saban team that I saw at LSU. I mean they played great defensive football and we're flying all over the place. And quarterback Gus Frerotte? I thought he had retired from the NFL. Seriously, I didn't even know he was still in the league. But he played like a Pro Bowler against Denver. I'm very pleased for him.

I was very impressed with the Dolphins. They looked like a very organized, disciplined football team. They made very few mistakes. Congratulations to Saban, I know his first win meant a lot to him.

turnovers and penalties

That's what I was saying............waaaaay to many penalities, specifically on offense.

Well they seemed to get it corrected at halftime. Walkers fumble is hard to blame him for (at least when I saw it). It looked like he had the ball secrued properly. It just seemed like a very good strip.

We made a huge amount of mistakes early. Our pre-snap anticipation has been terrible. I'm sure Saban is going to hammer that away in practice. NO CHEAP YARDS in another team's home...

Holy cow!

I don't think that we had ever got this much respect before.

not his fault???
a fumble is a fumble dude...
sorry to seem like the bearer of bad news...
but the lowly jets who get their butts handed to them will wipe the floor with us next week if we have 3 turnovers and 5 false start penalties...

There is no IF or AND to that. That was way too many drive killing penalties. I know for a fact the only way to win on the road is extreme discipline and quickly putting the home team down. There is NO OTHER way...

Yes we have, but not since the early to mid Shula years.

Well i wasn't around when Shula was coaching, so i didn't know. I do know that we will be one hell of a team down the road.

like bradshaw really sat and watched 4 quarters. He was just reading his script

Me either, really.. I just assume so with Marino in his prime and with their undefeated season..

We finally got our respect back! I really can't wait for next sunday.

and i'm sure Saban will be stressing that ALLLLL week...
look turnovers are turnovers, they happen yes, and they are to be expected, you just have to do your best to stay mentally straight and make good judgements...but the false start penalties are ridiculous,
i mean, one of the plays on third and long, one of the receivers went offsides...
that is completely absurd to me, why a receiver false starts on an obvious deep route is beyond me
