It's a slow day today so I thought I would have some fun and start some arguments. We already know that we are all Dolfans (well most of us), but I figured we can post our favorite teams in other sports with a brief explanation why. Some of us know who likes who already because the teams are in their sigs, but for those of us that don't, this should be fun! Here are mine:

Obviously...I rooted for them in SB XVII, they drafted Marino a year later and I've been a fan ever since. The Jets and Pats are televised where I live, so combined with Nationally televised games I get to see them quite a bit!

I was born into this one. My whole family loves the Yankees, so I do as well! I loved their dynasty and would love to see something like that for the Dolphins someday!!!

I really don't care too much for hockey, but a couple of hockey nuts in my family root for the Rangers, so that's who I follow for the very little that I follow NHL.

This is a bit of a fronrunner move. I'm not a big hockey nut either (mostly just football and baseball), but I have always been a fan of Shaq, plus I kind of caught the Heat fever this season. I also like being stuck between NY and Miami!

This is the only thing that CT has to offer in sports, so I have to root for it!

I had to put this one in seperately to fit it in...

I'm probably gonna get some crap from this one, but the only time I follow NCAA football is when a team performs much like an NFL team. I am not a diehard NCAA fan. The years that I followed the NCAA Football were when Miami won the titles in the late 80's and 2001 and then just recently when USC went on their amazing run. You gotta love Leinart and Bush. These two teams also turn out awesome pros! Anyway feel free to post yours and add some other sports if you wan too like soccer AFL, CFL, etc.!

This should read "frontrunner" and "basketball" of course. I was getting antsy while typing this!

MLB - Marlins. I've been going to games since I was a kid and they came to exist. I live in a baseball family, so I, too, was born with an obsession with baseball and having pretty much grown up with the Marlins, I became a die-hard Marlins fan and I am DEFINITELY a fan win or lose.

NHL - Panthers. I got into this as a kid with the rat craze and the Stanley Cup run. I remember all the hype with that and it was fun, and basically, I learned what a great game hockey is. In elementary school, I did sports announcements in the morning and almost always talked probably too much about the Panthers and my younger brother is a hockey nut so he made us all that much more hockey obsessed.

NBA - Heat. I'll admit, I recently became a fan. Before Shaq came, but after the '03-'04 season, I decided I was going to get into the NBA (especially with that NHL lockout looming). Shaq came later, suddenly everyone else became a Heat fan, and while the NHL lockout was painful, it helped me find a new sports obsession and even if I came along recently, I definitely can say I'm a Heat fan for life.

MLB: THE ATLANTA BRAVES I've watched them from the time I was a little girl. I was over watching the game at my granny's house last night, and she goes, "You know I can't really remember why we started watching the Braves, probably because of your dad, but I remember when you were just little, Jenna, I'd ask you what you'd been doing and you'd say, "Watching Baves baseball." (I couldn't say my Rs as a kid.) Haha. I can remember the bad times enough to be so grateful for all the success in the present times.

COLLEGE: THE UNIVERISTY OF TENNESSEE VOLUNTEERS. To say I love the Vols wouldn't do it justice. I love every single sport they take a part in...that means I keep up with golf, track and field, softball, baseball, soccer, tennis...along with the football and basketball...if it's clad orange and white, I want to see it succeed. :)

NFL: TENNESSEE TITANS. It was basically like this back in 1995, "Ohhh an NFL team in Tennessee. Yay! I will love them forever."...Seriously, it was pretty much like that. The Music City Miracle sealed the deal forever. And the taste of ALMOST winning the Super Bowl.

NHL: NASHVILLE PREDATORS. I was never really into hockey until I decided after the strike that, with the new rules, I would at least give it a shot. Of course I chose the Preds. I got hooked after a few games. And when I finally got to see a game live...well, dang, that's all she wrote. I'm still learning rules and players from around the league but I really do enjoy it!
