i'm watching it now...dion jordan i thought showed some good things against the run but man does he miss things in space now that he would have eaten up last year...it's all weight gain here he just can't carry it and maintain his athleticism and fluidity...even a 5 lb drop while he's off would help

coverage of the 2 deep players pretty ugly...doesnt matter if it's will davis, jelani jenkins, michael thomas...reshad jones is a tick late on some things also...i didnt see anyone driving on the ball from off coverage...davis was getting abused by steadman bailey...get ready for a lot of balls to come whoever the new nickles way...they are gonna go after whoever it is

i dont think daniel thomas had much of a shot really...he was getting stampeded by clean players to the ball...hard to gauge his effort but i wouldn't put it on the player...

damien williams the rb still making guys miss and running thru some contact...i think you have to keep the guy personally...he's a little slow to the perimeter of the field i guess some would say that's setting up and waiting on his blockers showing patience and maybe that's right...i just see a little hesitation once he gets there...

marcus thigpen ball down the seam high he just flat didn't want to get hit by that converging safety with his ribs exposed and his legs in the air so he short armed the effort

lobato is not making any reads...he just comes to the los decides where he's going with it and fires the football without clarity all over the place...i don't think it matters what the coverage is at all

mccain still looks like he's got no clue how to play off the los...there's just no other way to say it

miamis got some dts that showed well i'd think they are more ticketed for the p squad personally

trusnick pretty much all inside the tackles play...solid run fill in there but it's not anything different than expected

hoskins gets off the los well...aikens looked pretty solid to me for a rookie playing with a club on his hand...although he looks lean for a safety

He was the #1 4-3 OLB in the league this pre-season with a 12.4 rating, per PFF...Trusnik #3 rated at 5.6.

They must just be grading all that stuff at the Los...which is where he shows well...although it isn't against guys who will play on Sundays...the lb actual play though couldn't be more raw

I'd blitz the guy either gaps or overload...pretty much extent of the run he'd get for me this year...and develop the overall lb play for the future

Am I the only one who doesn't blame him one bit for that? It's a preseason game and Seth effing Lobato just hung you out to dry with a ball fired into the goddamn stratosphere.

Thigpen will get picked up by someone and probably get more PT on a team like the Browns. I don't know, I just flat out can't blame the guy. I certainly wouldn't get concussed going up for that garbage throw when I know I'm probably about to get cut and someone else will grab me.

It wasn't a great throw but if get extends both arms it's catchable...he heard foot steps...you can see him even looking at the closing safety
