Postgame Thoughts

We have some nice pieces what we're lacking is vision from the top down and Discipline. If you look at around the league at programs like Philly, Green Bay, NE and Ind, it's a system they look for players who can help the team and bring them in. One thing I've noticed about NE is as much as I hate them, I am impressed that they seem to use their entire roster. If it's just for one play, the coaching staff gets the fast WR into the game to catch one ball in favorable matchup.

Sparano has breeded a conservative environment. I think Gates only got a couple of chances in this game on offense and much like everything else it was the execution that was lacking. The dolphins tend to outthink themselves and got for the 1% instead of the 99% because in their minds everyone thinks they are going for the 99%, problem is they don't do the 1% well.

Belechick is demanding but his enivornment breeds confidence in him, the system and the team. In Miami that isn't happening, this team doesn't have any fight in them, Henne did show improvement last night but still lacks the game management skills and ability to execute.

I'll give Sparano credit for going for the 4th down on the first drive but I really don't forsee him being a part of this team past this season win or lose. Not saying we need to go get Cowher or Gruden, I'm saying the next Regime needs start from the top down setting a vision and philopshy and executing on it.

Never understood the idea of using Hartline as the "go-to" guy in the redzone on fades. He is white. White men can't jump. Marshall, while obvious to other teams, is the guy in the red zone. Bush should be also going into the flat on red zone pass plays. This is why we brought him here. Weapon in the red zone for sure. It was disgusting how easily Brady was able to just augment a play or go to a hot read and score at will. I am talking pathetically easy. It was embarrassing.

I will take the vast improvement by Henne he has seen thus far. I mean the guy rushed for 59 yards when the plays broke down. Chad Henne of old would have forced a ball for a pick or got sacked.

A lot of logic would tell you to pitch to to Bush. Bush in a sprint to the sideline, he's probably winning 9/10 times. However, did Bush seem slower to anyone else...? Almost like his feet were getting stuck in the grass.

1) Hartline is simply not good enough to be a starting #2 receiver in this league

2) We seem to get outcoached nearly every week.

3) While Henne is playing better, he still has to score touchdowns in the redzone to be a winner in this league.

4) We should have kept Ronnie Brown and used that 2nd rounder on something else.

5) Shocked that is was Dolphins having cramping problems in the south Florida heat and not our opponent, this would not have happened to a Don Shula team.

If by "every week" you mean, this past week and by "outcoached" you mean, "outcoached by Bill Belichick" then I agree with you...

Hats off to Henne, Fasano, Marshall and Bess for a good game. Hartline had an ok game. The offense could be real good if we can get contribution from Thomas, Gates and potential mismatch man Clay. I saw Gates open twice, but Henne was slightly late/off on his throws.

The offense and defense should focus on redzone the entire week of practice.

Get Jimmy wilson out there. He can't be any worse and at least he can tackle.
bring back Allen, bring in any scrub db, place Carroll on the practice squad - he's a good kid that needs some motivation to get his game back

Hartline is consistently overrated by Dolphins fans imo. I think that we should have kept Ricky Williams, not Ronnie. If we kept Ricky and signed Waters/McKinnie for the right side of the OL...

One guy for the Patriots who impressed me but flew under the radar- Julian Edelman.

Patrick Chung lays out Fasano and Benny Sapp, who could barely cover, tries the same on Aaron Hernandez, who bounces off of him like nothing happened- that kind of night.

I think that we should have pulled Nolan Carroll and replaced him with Jimmy Wilson.

Henne played great between the 20s but still had some red zone struggles. On the fade to Hartline he had Bess 1 step inside the end zone.

No he didnt. I watched the play like five times thinking the same thing and there was a LB helping double team bess and would have picked it a took it 99 yards to the house. Thats a throw he would have made last year and would have gotten ripped for it. He made the right throw its just the play call was bad. Y not QB sneak or a toss to bush and let him try to hit the corner?

1) Agree with the conditioning and cramping. I just do not get it.

2) We also better hope Will Allen is still available because Nolan Carroll really SUCKS!

3) Please try Reggie over the top or Larry Johnson on the 1/2 yard line. A different game if we score there.
Agree with all of these. Makes you wonder why Larry Johnson is on the roster. RZ offense was not good. The one time that we put Bush out in space, he scored.
