Someone should tell Bill Simmons that he doesn't have to worry about anything. If Dupree ever hit Brady like that, he would have been ejected. And there is no chance that the retaliatory "push" on Dupree would be penalized if a Patriots player was defending Brady.

And every NFL highlight show would currently be debating what type of rule-change could eliminate dirty hits like that on QBs. And whether or not Dupree should be suspended.

Watching Gase's presser was hard, I've never seen him so upset about a loss. He looked on the verge of tears.

I liked Wake's comments, guy is an amazing pro. Glad we could get him his first playoff game, but I wish we could get him a championship instead.

Thanks for the updates.

This is what makes me laugh about all of the people that can't possibly comprehend that the NFL favors particular teams and players. Tom Brady was injured, and they literally changed the rules of the game in reaction to his injury. In addition, let's not forget that they also changed the rules on how game balls were handled base upon lobbying by Peyton Manning and Tom Brady.

You're gonna tell me that officials are not influenced by the fact that they are officiating a Patriots game, or a Steelers game? For instance, every fan understands that the Patriots offense walks the line of legality on a consistent basis, whether it is pick plays, offensive pass interference, diving at defensive linemen's legs...yet these penalties are never called. Same thing with the Pats and Seahawks defensive backs man-handling opposing receivers.

Anyone who is a long-term fan will remember that the Dolphins used to benefit from this when Don Shula was on the competition committee. The Dolphins were consistently one of the least-penalized teams in the NFL year after year. Was it because Don Shula was on the competition committee, or was it because the Dolphins at the time were a successful, marquee franchise in the NFL and Don Shula was the best coach in the NFL?

Yep Same thing happened to Carson Palmer years before Brady's injury but no rule changes until it happens to Brady. Hell they changed OT rules because of Brett Favre not getting a touch in an OT loss

Love the conspiracy theories.

Dolphins were one of the least penalized teams under Philbin. Guess ol' Joe has some connections in the NFL front offices just like Belichick and Tomlin. :chuckle:

I'm glad that you like them. I'll try to come up with a few more to keep you entertained.

Did the NFL change the rules after Brady's knee injury? Did they change the way game balls were handled after Brady and Manning lobbied for the change?

i for one am glad the players and coaches are mad about the loss. Thats the difference between Gase and other coaches we´ve had. Has made this group a prideful one. We will be back with a vengeance next year and the year after that. IN GASE WE TRUST. we are in good hands. That is a big reason to celebrate. Mediocrity ended in 2016.
