I know Ross is probably the owner for the foreseeable future, but he is in his 70s, and it doesn't seem like he has heirs waiting in the wings, so he may be selling off the team within the next decade. Are there any billionaires with Miami ties that might be interested in the team? The Arisons?

The obvious big $ guy who wants to buy an NFL team is Mark Cuban

I love Cuban, but he would have the same issues as Ross being an absentee owner. Cuban has a lot of other stuff going on. That being said, I would trust him more than Ross to get the right people in charge, and he doesn't accept BS excuses.

If the next regime he puts in place fails, whether its this year, or after next year when Failbin ends his reign, I could see Ross selling the team. He has already lost money on his investment, and it will continue to devalue if they don't win.

On top of losing money, it has caused a few too many headaches for him. I could see him cutting his losses in a few years.

I think Jeff Bezos of Amazon.com went to high school in Miami? I think he's richer than every NFL owner. This cat could build us a billion dollar stadium that would make Cowboy Stadium look like a dump, and it wouldn't put a dent in his wallet.

Bezos just bought the Washington Post, another flagging institution. Maybe he could do the same for Miami! Haha, but I don't think he is interested in owning a sports team.

Knowing our luck, Ross will probably sell the team to Jeffrey Loria... lol

Yeah but I was thinking about the nice new stadium he could build on South Beach. They could create a man-made island for the team with a dock for ships to bring fans to the game. Put some real Dolphins in a lagoon behind the end zone, and have naked cheerleaders. It would be sick!!!! Lots of rich owners don't seem to be that interested in sports. but they buy teams as an investment. I read about some Saudi Prince who paid about $2 billion for an English soccer team. We need some guy like this with deep pockets.

If he moves the dolpins out of miami im all for it.

Mickey is one of the best owners in all of sports and based on a report I've recently read, the wealthiest Florida resident. I'd welcome his ownership and also any appropriate executive management role he could carve out for Pat Riley. I'd also like to see the team move up to central PB County to reunite with its traditional core demographics and have ProPlayer sold to David Beckham's consortium as a pro soccer venue.

Jordan Zimmermann has been trying to buy the Dolphins for years. He's lives and works in South Florida.

Ugh, that guy is a creep. I don't think he has enough money anyway...
