Potential Nose Tackles we can draft

I would bet that we would draft Ahtyba Rubin. Also, don't count out Marcus Harrison of Arkansas. He's another big body, we could draft as well.

1. Red Bryant
2. Dre Moore
3. Ahtyba Rubin
4. Frank Okam
5. Jason Shirley

I would be happy with Rubin or Okam in the third or fourth. We need a big beefy NT ASAP! There are no FA one's available so which one do you guys think we will draft?

Isaac Sopoaga formerly of the 49ers is definitely available and definitely a bad man. He is big, strong, young and took on multiple blockers like it was his job, which it was. There isn't much, if any, reasonable depth behind him in FA, but he is well worth getting since he is semi flying under the radar (at least to most fans) and us using a draft pick elsewhere. I agree we need one in FA or the draft, but I think he is the best option since he is young to begin with and has proven himself.

Pat Sims

I would take Pat Sims of Auburn with the 2nd round pick. The guy has tons of potential at 6'4 315lbs. He is the third best DT/NT in the draft besides Dorsey and Ellis.

I like Ruybin and Okham for potential NT. Moore is a 3/4 DE.

Jason Shirley though is one to watch.

49ERS KEEP SOPOAGA by Michael David Smith
Adam Schefter of NFL Network is reporting that the San Francisco 49ers have reached a contract agreement with nose tackle Isaac Sopoaga.
The 49ers' fourth-round draft pick in 2004 out of the University of Hawaii, Sopoaga had been scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent on Friday. Per Schefter, the new contract is a five-year deal. No financial details are available.

hopefully sims hes a beast, then we could draft his teammate in 2b quentin groves, but I'd be happy with rubin in the third or fourth. Stay away from Okam, he weighed in at 347! eventhough he said he wanted to be playing at 320, he has far too many red flags.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I hate and love you at the same time lol. Ok time to re due my draft in my sig, but i will still hold faith until it is official.

I was inquiring here about Harrison, the NT from Arkansas, because I didn't know much about him, and someone here said he's lazy and has some past felonies or something. I some some film on him lately and I got to tell you, he did look pretty good, good size and seemed like a real mean SOB. I don't know, maybe Parcells & co. can get the best out him. Players in his past like L.T. weren't exactly "good character guys. Look how he turned out. I think getting someone like that would give us more freedom in the draft rather than spending such a high pick and so much money on a undersized DT who doesn't quite fit our scheme. J. long all the way baby! Let's give Beck some help.

I religiously follow the Razorbacks and will tell you Harrison is an iffy prospect at best.
The good:
Good size: check
good strength: check
good speed: check

The bad:
constantly takes plays off: check
always hurt: check
caught with ecstasy and marijuana hours after the coaches "stay out of trouble" speech: check

Great potential... but so-so performance for three years.
Of course he was coached by the worst staff in the SEC (thankfully now at Ole Miss)... so maybe like Jason Peters, Tavaris Jackson, and Richard Smith... maybe he realizes his potential now that he is free from Houston Nutt and his inept minions.

Rubin is my #2 NT..... and theres a pretty good chance he will be gone in the 2nd. If we can get him with our 3rd rounder, that would be fantastic but a lot of mocks have him going in the late 2nd.

My rankings would be:

Ellis
Rubin
Morton
Sims
Bryant

I dont even think Okam would be a good 3-4 NT.
