1. Carson Wentz is over hyped. No way they win the SB had he not been hurt. I said last year and will say it again, would have kept Foles and traded Wentz for a Kings ransom.

2. Washington winning was huge. I thought for sure they were going to have a worse record than us.

3. This Minkah Fitzpatrick “luck” narrative sounds like sour grapes more and more each week.

4. Adam Gase is safe in NY. That’s good for us.

You act like we couldn’t possibly use the Pittsburgh pick to get a better player than Minkah.

Minkah has been very fortunate with a lot of his turnovers. Today being yet another example.

1/3 of his career INTs came against Miami in one game this year.

Get over it. Scooping up some fumbles or having passes thrown right to you aren’t enough for me to want to give them back a top 18 pick.

Especially not after watching him get scorched by Marquise Brown week 1.

No sour grapes, just your constant wine.

And I was a Minkah guy from the get go but if you don’t want to be on my team, dueces.

In fact Minkahs 2nd INT against Miami was a mistake on his part after the first was gifted to him by Smythe I believe.

Ryan Fitzpatrick throw up a bomb on third and long which resulted in actually being a great punt.

If Minkah was a savier player he would’ve just batted it down and likely given his team at least 10-15 yards on a potential touch back on a punt. Ryan Fitzpatrick made the more impressive play there.

Again, not impressive enough for me to return a top 18 pick.

9 takeaways bro. Pitt is 5-2 since he’s been there and they were 1-3 before him. Why wasn’t the FS playing before him getting so lucky? Batting it down? I agree but no one does that any more - they haven’t since the 80’s. They need to compile their stats. But let’s not act like this is all luck - at all. My beef w the whole thing is the position he’s thriving in is the one position we refused to play him. You can’t tell me that doesn’t concern you with respect to our staff’s stubbornness or lack of forsight. Grier and Flores need to learn from this.

I’m not the least bit concerned because I’ve been watching the Steelers games closely just like I was today when Devin Bush forced an excellent turnover. Like I give a crap who scoops it up.

I’m not the least bit concerned because we needed assets to acquire a potential franchise QB.

I’m not the least bit concerned because the coaching staff appears to be doing an excellent job at coaching garbage.

I’m not the least bit concerned because Minkah didn’t want to be in Miami.

I’m not concerned Pittsburgh defensive talent is a lot more impressive than ours.

Minkahs been the beneficiary of tipped passes and fumble recoveries others created.

He’s a talented player on a talented defense. He an average player on a bad defense.

I wouldn’t give back the pick if they begged.

I want a pass rush and corners. Not a center fielder.

Bro it not even going to be top 18 pick. Worse then that.

Dude they are never going to admit it was a mistake. The more they argue is just proof that they know it was a bad trade. Fitz had no leverage. If he had no connection to tua I bet our front office would not have been so accommodating about trading him. They just didn’t want mikah talking **** to tua in case we drafted him number one. Kid had no leverage. No reason to trade him.

“Talented player on talented defense and average player on an average defense” - does that make any sense? Either your a good player or your not. As for “beneficiary” of tipped passes etc - you realize when you compile 9 in 10 games that narrative sounds silly, right? We can agree to disagree on Minkah the player but if every mistake any organization in any industry made was just rationalized and swept under the rug I don’t think that’s a healthy organization. The best companies I’ve ever worked for admit their mistakes, learn from them and get better. I like a lot of what Flores has done and I’ve been vocal about it. But I’m not letting him off of the hook for this one - yet. I hope to see he’s learned from it should a similar situation arise in the future. Perhaps - like Tom Coughlin did - he can find a common ground so people don’t ask to be traded. We’d be better off w Minkah on this team. There is zero evidence that he wanted out because he didn’t want to go through a rebuild. I believe it had to do w his views not aligning w coach’s views. I’d like to think this could have been handled in a way that kept him here and without even going public.

Every team wants a player who is 'lucky' every week. It's called 'a nose for the football.'

Zach Taylor screwed us once again.. if he had started Dalton we would have had a Bengals win and PBurgh loss.

Now they are going back to Dalton.. I would not be surprised if this resulted from pressure by Goodell on cheapskate Mike Brown.
