Pouncey off twitter

what do u mean? he deleted his account? or he just quit posting?....

if he deleted his account i am absolutely shocked and thrilled that Philbin n Co. would address the issue so fast - and so permanently!

Probably, but he was smart enough to not make public jokes about the thing he was currently being investigated for.
 
I happen to think that Pouncey is funny.

Ever heard the saying, "If you don't laugh you'll cry?" Kinda like that.

Pouncey has an inside track on the IDIOCY that went down w. Martin AND the politically-correct way it was handled. Enough to make a grown man weep.

Instead, he jokes about it. To me, it's funny.

Sissy-boy JMart and his weak-ass stench are gone. Along with his pale excuses for his behavior. Anyone that this this was really about hazing also probably believes that JMart is a quality football player and standup man.

Right.

Seriously...how do people not get the point by now? You simply cannot do something like this and stay in good standing in the NFL anymore. Period. Pouncey is just abysmally stupid.

It's a joke, but not a good one coming from someone who will be forced to undergo a mental evaluation and could face discipline from the league.

DAVIE, Fla. -- Miami Dolphins Pro Bowl center Mike Pouncey deactivated his Twitter account Friday, not long after posting an ill-timed comment about the team's first-round pick, offensive lineman Ja'Wuan James.

Pouncey is not immune to controversy. In February, Pouncey and former teammates Richie Incognito and John Jerry were named in the Ted Wells report as the primary culprits in the harassment of Jonathan Martin and others.

He found himself back in a tight spot Friday when he posted on Twitter: "Great pick! I can't wait for our gifts he's getting us lol."

The comment didn't sit well with many people on social media after last year's bullying scandal, and even Hall of Fame defensive tackle Warren Sapp weighed in.

Dolphins general manager Dennis Hickey said in a statement released Friday that the matter had been addressed.

"We talked with Mike, and Mike understands that sometimes things can be taken out of context," he said. "What's meant as a light-hearted comment can be taken out of context. We talked with Mike and he was good with that and understands social media is a great tool to reach our fans for the positive. But you have to make good choices with that."

The NFL hasn't said if it will suspend Pouncey for his involvement in the bullying scandal.

I don't think any of us here think JMart was a great football player or a strong-minded person. However, I do think most of us would agree it takes a special sort of dumb to make a joke about hazing while your punishment for that same activity is still being weighed. Well, most of us.
