The more I think about this draft it’s hard to get every hole filled but if we were to come away with Trey Smith, Mecki Becton, and Tyler Bidaz. We could be one bad ass offensive line. And that’s the kind of team I want!!! a punch you in the mouth nasty team that will get the first down on 3rd and 1 and you won’t even feel worried about it.

Well, an offensive linemen being nasty doesnt mean he will make the block lol.

I want the disciplined guy who makes the block. No Richie Incognitos.

Well if you studied the players you would know what I’m talking about. Thanks for being captain obvious though.

Been wanting a smash mouth offensive line for a long time. I think you get one offensive lineman in free agency and two fairly early in the draft. Add a power runner somewhere and watch how successful this offense can be even with a quarterback like Fitz.

I could see Dobbins having success behind a smash mouth OL.

There's something that Flores, IIRC, said and it may apply here, I think!

I believe he mentioned how so much of the league is going to pass prevent type defense on most plays and that LBs now are built more like safeties to be quick and fast and not necessarily strong and big.

I believe he also went on to mention that they see the power game with a FB and have no idea what to do.

Another point and coming from the same school of thought is that the Patriots always had the ability to go into a passing game and a power game at will.

Not sure if any of this means anything. But when you consider Flores comments, his background, and wanting an edge in today's NFL make-up then this might be the direction.

In which case expect bigger power type backs.

The Titans Henry, Alabama RB etc..

It's all goes in cycles to some degree. I remember when Jimmy Johnson first took over in Dallas and he was able to find those quick linebackers in the later rounds because teams were still looking for size and run-stopping LB's. There are a few teams that use a fullback. You may be right as Miami is one of those teams that have a fullback.

Well... Chan is coming so I dont think this is happening.

Exactly, this is my vision (or fantasy) what every way you want to put it:

Free Agency:
Sign G Brandon Scherff and G Joe Thuney

Draft:

1a QB Tua
1b OT Jedrick Willis or Alex Leatherwood
1c EDGE K'Lavon Chiasson or Curtis Weaver
2a C Tyler Biadasz or Creed Humphrey
2b OT Mekhi Becton or Prince Tega Wanogho

So the O-Line would look like:

OT Alex Leatherwood
G Brandon Scherff
C Tyler Biadzsz or Creed Humphrey
G Joe Thuney
OT Mekhi Becton or Prince Tega Wanogho

I would love this o-line, and I believe it can be acheived (at this point).
